has this happen to other states? this is really messed up.. we are already the highest in unemployment .:S
how does this happen?
how long did it last?

does this mean clubs will have to close to because of alcohol sales?

that happened in NJ a couple years ago... the casinos had to close, so it was resolved with in days...

I don't think the bars would suffer for one day,
in fact they would likely get a lot of their regulars spending money ALL day there
instead of just at lunch time and after work. *weg*
I wouldn't think it should last too long...someone will give in eventually.
Sounds on the order of a company strike...ish.
Hey, with the wages government officials receive the budget deficit might actually be solved by one week of this.
*wink*

It happened in Virginia last year. It's really not too much to worry about unless it for some reason prolongs into weeks instead of a couple days.

Blame our wonderful governor, Shanna. She hasn't done jack shit since she has been in office. I think everyone should have voted for Dick Devos, he has been running a very successful corporation in Michigan for many years. Does'nt help either that all the automotive has moved out because of the really high state business taxes coupled with China undervaluing their currency by 40% so they can rob the U.S. economy of manufacturing jobs.

u know ur right Zeus... i didnt vote for her. as the years go by iv strayed more and more away from dems..
i see more results with rep
but honestly im stuck in between now days its who ever can get the job done. dem or rep dont matter

but be sure to vote for Patterson Zeus. hes an alright dude.
i just hope our state problem gets better very soon. we already have it bad here.:S

It's actually not the governor's fault in this case.....

The dems AND the republicans have failed to agree on a budget. The governor is threatening a shutdown unless they can agree on terms. It's more like a mom saying to her two kids "Stop fighting over the TV, or I'll turn it off."

Partisan bickering is what is holding up the budget.....

I say confiscate the television and send them off to their respective corners...
to THINK about what they have done.
When they can apologize and learn to work together they can again play with one another,
but until then...the TV is mine.
Gimme the remote.
