Have you tried my local brew? Boags (in northern Tasmania) and Cascade breweries (south) both make premium beers which they export to the US. Nice drops IMO and prolly expensive there, but try a 6 pack.

Widmer Hefeweizen is my favorite, and a locally brewed microbrew out of Portland, Oregon.
Microbrews have a higher alcohol content than an average beer so watch yourself.
I prefer it fresh from a tap with a squeeze of lemon in it, but you can get it bottled.
It looks a bit "thick" as it is an unfiltered wheat brewed beer.

Two of my other Favs are Newcastle Brown and Alaska Pale Ale. Both very tasty beers that I cannot get in Chile, DAMNIT!

There's always Sierra Nevada, but seeing as you're from N. Cali, you're probably sick to death of that beer. Try Chimay Bleue if you can find it. It's not cheap, but it's a VERY flavorful beer, a light ale. My ex GF hated my micro brews (She only guzzled Coors Light BLECH!) but she LOVED Chimay.

That's all for now. Happy hunting...

i first had it in krakow and have since noticed it appearing in weatherspoons and most uk supermarkets now (probably due to the fact there are thousands of poles in manhcester

europe makes good beers but to be 100% honest...it really doesnt matter where it came from, its all about the brewer, so i think im gana try and make my own brew, i found some recipes online, samuel adams has a pretty good video showing how to make your own beer

One of the developers I work with and her boyfriend make their own beer and it is awesome! To do it right takes some dedication though, if your lazy you'll have shitty beer!
