Well for one I've always used the standard Windows Defrag tool. Just recently a few people claimed wonders for "Diskeeper" (http://www.diskeeper.com/defrag.asp) and told me to get it. I'm always skeptical of new software, especially the ones like this so can anyone vouch for it or direct me to something better. These guys seemed pretty adamant about it being the best thing ever for being a performace booster so.... also I'm running Windows Vista.
Secondly where the shit do I go to upgrade my firmware for my Linksys WRT54G router...tried to google it but maybe it's just me but everywhere I went it seemed confusing as shit and I couldn't get a straight answer.

follow the instructions on that screen to find the version you are using and then download the firmware from there. Pretty simple. (Y)

Anyone use Diskeeper? I have heard good things about it too but I can't be arsed to defrag that much LOL

Thanks Furyous, I must've overlooked it somehow :/
But yeah I found another defrag program called "Distrix" (http://www.disktrix.com/) - pirated the full version - that supposedly is supposed to be much better configurable for gamers. So I used that last night. I can notice a difference that is for sure...but it is not amazing, but I've always keeped my drive defraged normally.

I've used a trial of diskeeper and I thought it was pretty good at doing what it said it'd do. Work on defragging when you want or when you're idle, and do nothing when you're doing something else. I never bothered to get a full version of it because I'm lazy, otherwise I'd probably still be using it.

Yeah I use that disktrix one, it runs much faster than the windows version and you have the option to place your most accessed files in the center of the hd for quicker access. I dont know if it speeds things up much but I find it better than the windows one just because its quicker.
