Morning or night before.
Chicken :
u need chicken, soy sauce and honey!
Get some breasts of chicken (amount depends on whos eating, i suppose one per person is valid or 2 if small breasts), score them lightly and shove em in a zip lock bag.
Mix 5 tablespoons of honey with 5 tablespoons of dark soy sauce. Make sure its mixed well, add ground pepper (no salt, the soy has plenty...if it does need salt it can be added later) and pour into ziplock bag with chicken.
Close the bag making sure that u remove as much air as possible!
Squish it all about so the chicken is all covered and leave in fridge to maranade till u cook.
Later at time of cooking, just grill (broil to u yanks)/BBQ or bake on a mediem heat (aka baking its about 50 min at 350).
microwave Rice:
u need: plain white rice (not dark rice), small onion, 1 carrot, 1 stick of celery, handfull of frozen peas and chicken stock (powder or cubes is fine)
also need a ceramic pot with lid.
Put one cup of white in a bowl and fill with water, using a fork move the rice about till the water clowds and drain and do it again (do it 3 times or more if ur can be arsed).
When ur finished cleaning the rice fill the bowl with water one more time and let is sit in the water while we do the rest of the stuff.
Chop small onion up small, same with carrot and celery, put it in a pan and cook using butter or olive oil and some salt and pepper for 5-10 min on a low heat.
While thats heating make yourself a stock using cubes and water..or buy ready made stock ready made stock i dont care! You need one and a half cups of stock in total.
Add one cup of stock to the onion/carrot/celery mix and bring to boil, take of heat as soon as done.
Drain the rice, put it in the ceramic pot and add the stock and veg mix.
Put lid on and cook in microwave for 10 min on full power.
At 10 min point take it out and fluff with fork. Add the handfull of frozen peas and the half cup of stock remaining.
Put back in microwave to cook for another 4 min then leave it to sit there for 10 min WITHOUT TOUCHING IT OR OPENING THE BLOODY LID!
after the 10 min, serve!
