So, if anybody missed this - Radiohead released their first new album in...... well ages...... they released the album exclusively online (it might be out on cd in the new year) and asked people to pay as much as they wanted to for the 13 track album.
Being that im certainly no hardcore radiohead fan, i elected to pay zero pounds and zero pence for the album. It was duly emailed to me today and im currently listening to it.
No stand out tracks just yet, nothing massively exciting but it will probably need a few listens.
So, did anyone else get the album? what did you pay for it? do you think its a good/novel idea to release an album in this way (radiohead themselves will apparently get a larger proportion of the money for the sales as they wont have to pay a record company for distribution - dependent on people actually paying though i guess!!)?? Anyone got any views on the new material??
