If you have the files that are ripped, then you should be able to burn them directly with your burning software. What error are you getting?
The programs I use to rip dvd's is dvdfab hd decrypter
http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
If main movie is still to large for a standard dvd, I shrink it with dvdshrink
http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/
I burn everything with Nero Burning Rom.

I think we need to establish what the 'DVD-Rips' are first like Zeus said..They maybe just be the VOB and IFO files..

I found a computer that has a blu-ray player/writer in it and I'm thinking of getting it, if I can figure a way to duplicate PS3 games. Anybody have any idea how that would be possible?

jeff if you just want to burn ur AVI files to DVD to watch it in ur DVD player
then all you need is Nero Vision
and it will do everything for you :)
no other softwares required
but if u want your AVI file to have chapters in ur DVD then all u have to do is.. split the files in to bits and burn the AVI to DVD
Nero Vision
check that out.. its very handy software it will do everything 4 u. encoding and so on

most of the games come in ISO files
but to play duplicate games in ur console u need to have a chip inside
i have downloaded xbox games.. but those games onl work on the console if they have chip..
so i got no idea about PS3 and blu-ray is a new technology

I believe it can be done alot easier if the linux os is installed and of course you have the blueray drive. Good luck, looks like a pain in the ass.

Have they gotten mod chips for the PS3 yet? I don't own one so I haven't been paying attention. I love my Swap Magic for the PS2 though..

Its not an operating system, its a theme portal.
On your other question, usually downloads have instructions to make the disc work. I dunno much about console games, just movies and pc games.

All you need to do is just convert it to 3GP, all it is an mpeg-4 video format for mobile devices. Your Procoder will do it Dave.
