Password Recovery?

A friend of mine forgot her hotmail password back in may...we've been trying to get it back w\ no luck...she cant remember the answer to the recovery question....the bad thing is that this is the same password she is using on about 5 other services online like runescape and yahoo....any one have ANY ideas at all?

Thank you for the link, i sent it to her, i tried it on my own password and it just said "username not found", but ill see what hers does when she get it....

yeah, i spose only retail-version works, but give it a try.

you could also try to crack the freeware version into the retail verion.

LOL j/k That was a good link and if the password is stored that program will get it but if not there isn't alot you can do..I've had my password in Yahoo get mysteriously changed too.

lol....it wasn't changed....she changed it because she was being paranoid....and she was also mad at the time, so she has no idea what it was, plus it was about 15-20 charactors long...

Uhmmm well i know how that happen, someone knows your answer to the secret question, what yahoo does is give you a random password if you have all the right info. That way your password is changed and the person who did it can get into your account, but cant actually know what the password really was.

just know one thing, somebody answering her secret question n breaking in that way is VERY possible......i'd suggest if you don't get it bakc, move on and make the secret question impossible to answer

yea....her password wasn't hacked...she changed it because she decided she needed a new one...and then she forgot what is was....and, as i said. she is kinda paranoid so her question was "who is your favorite fictional Charactor" and she put about 4 of them in a random order...but she cant remember...


and actually, all she really need is her address book so she can tell her friends to send to a new email

i know...i would think she would remember though....she said she typed it in about 15 times that day...she also said it may have been a book character...followed by random nubmers....im pretty sure she is lost till she just remembers it......
