ok get me a list fo tweaks lol.

try and follow these steps

Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!"

If you want Firefox to go super fast beyond the normal config use all these:

browser.cache.memory.capacity - 4096

network.http.max-connections - 48

network.http.max-connections-per-server - 16

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy - 16

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server - 16

network.http.pipelining - true

network.http.proxy.pipelining - true

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests - 48

image.animation_mode - once

browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers - 0

plugin.expose_full_path - true

network.http.pipelining.firstrequest - true

nglayout.initialpaint.delay - 0

content.notify.backoffcount - 5 BLANK, don't create if modified for broadband via content commands below

ui.submenuDelay - 0

content.interrupt.parsing - true

content.notify.ontimer - true

content.switch.threshold - 750,000

content.notify.interval - 750,000

content.max.tokenizing.time - 2,250,000

Pasted from a doc I keep laying around. Works quite well for broadband. Gotta create "Boolean" for the commands that are "true/false" for the commands that do not already exist, integers for number commands---just in case theirs any confusion there for beginners.

Damn Vinay thats where it usually is.. Check the other user names and see if it got stashed in there.. but I have retrieved all my bookmarks from a Ghost image by just pulling out that folder..

Its called bookmarks.html if you can find the profile..

Smash Bros

why not try searching your HDD for the folder bookmarks.html??

might make it easier for you. unless someone has deleted it off of your pc then it should come up

There isn't a "bookmarks backup" folder in the "profile" folder? Mine saves the last 5 days.

shouldnt be no. there should be a folder that keeps all of your bookmarks though. no mate what you use. and you might have it confused with the history. no idea where that is kept

Thats the wrong path Vinay. Go into tools/folder option/view and enable "show hidden folders and files" so you will be able to see Application Data folder.

Then follow this path

C:\Documents and Settings\User Account\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

What he said.. These things are user specific so they will always get stored in your profile directory.
