Well, damon can do what he wants...He wasn't worth what he wanted...See how he doesn't even start in every game...Plus he had to start shaving and get a haircut...The reason he didnt shave was because when he Ran into that kid in the outfield he had that concussin and he got too tired to shave...Weird man

When I was in the USA for an extended holiday, I stayed in New England and I managed to attend half a dozen or so games at Fenway Park, so I guess that makes me part of the UK branch of "Red Sox Nation"

if the red sox are a money powerhouses, then why did they let JD walk on over to the Spankees? Why not have resigned Pedro instead of going to the Mets....why not keep Millar instead of seeing him in an Orioles? Its because they wanted more than the Red Sox were willing to spend....there is a HUGE difference between the ownership of the Red Sox and the Spankees. The Spankees think they can buy a championship....Can you do me a favour and get your facts straight before you make assumptions because when you assume you know what happens....

I will admit it has money but it doesn't sink it all into about 6 players and hope they win. The sox have some amazing prospects in the minor leagues....and NOBODY can dispute that Pappelbon is one to watch...with a 0.43 ERA and 25 saves under his belt, he EARNED his place on the All Star Team...but they forgot to call Shilling and Beckett

what's the Bosox payroll for this year? 3rd or fourth overall? Last year they were behind the Yanks, Dodgers and I think the Orioles. Let's see what the Sox do b4 the trade deadline as well. Boston spends a lot money, much more than most... i got that straight, huh? Just b/c they let some players go doesn't mean they don't buy success. Theo obviously didn't think Pedro had enough left in the tank to warrant a multiyear contract. Millar is how old as well?
Any team that spends more than 100 mil/year in payroll can't hide from being a money powerhouse. A team that has the revenue to spend... probably should. They're still money powerhouses nonetheless. No doubt there's a big difference between the two, but they both have seemed to have bought their way to success.

nope can't stop being a, what you call, "homer" fan....its in my blood. Most kids on Sunday went to church, we did that but after dad and I read the sports section and watched the Sunday game on TV....its a way of life for me so asking me to not support and defend my team is anti-semetic in my house ;)
