Hi there Ruff,
I don't really know you but I know this story only too well.
I'm going to keep this quite brief and to the point. You have 2 beautiful kids, and they are still young. (my boy is 6,so i know how hard they can take it when dad aint around 24/7 no more)
Try not to slip into too much drinking and smoking and stuff.
Whenever you see yourself about to do something silly.... picture your kids right there. Your children will be your anchor if you do not allow self pity to take hold. Most importantly, move on as fast as you can. Keep busy.
I wish you all the best, there is no "easy" way through this.... just 1 day at a time.

tony, for starters im glad to see ur alive
im really sorry, i was with my kids dad for 13/14 yrs when we split up
i have to be honest it took me a good yr to even feel anything close to normal, its such a hard time when its all uve ever known and there ur world. but things do get better infact one day ull look bk and know it was for the best.
i guess for the guy its that much worse as ur away from the children aswell, my kids still maintain a good realionship with there dad (weve been split now 8 yrs), they know hes only ever at the end of the phone if they need him and hes always made them welcome, just because u dont all live together it doesnt have to change the realationship you have with them, it just takes alot more effort.
good luck, and sending big hugs ur way :)
