World's Fastest Rapper

Daddy Freddy, a dancehall artist, held the world's record on four different occasions for his ability to spit out 507 syllables a minute. In 1992, a rapper called Tung Twista grabbed the title. He's shortened his name since then and goes by Twista.

Current record holder: JC-001, with 530 syllables a minute.

Current fastest according to Guinness

Fastest Rap - MC Ricky Brown (USA) rapped 723 syllables in 51.27 seconds on his track "No Clue" at B&G Studios, Seattle, Washington, USA, on January 15, 2005.

Uganja
30th June 2006, 11:26 PM
Its easy to rap fast, you just treat each syllable in a verse as half and rap twice as fast, of course you do need to change the verse structure slightly (and double the words) depending on the beat, but majority of the time fast rappers are just people rapping twice as fast....

There are exceptions to the rule though...

tca
30th June 2006, 11:28 PM
man, this dude can rap fast, but where is he on the international scene? i was talking bout big name rappers in the worlds fastest rappers

everyone can give me records n shit all you want, bone thugs and twista both rip better then 95% of rappers out there, fast yet still sounding awesome at the same time

YetAnotherKitten
30th June 2006, 11:29 PM
1-it has nothing to do with wit--

2-try writing your own lyrics -then do it

3-record yourself and see how it really sounds (your ear is different)

edit-jay--have you tried it?? I mean seriously it takes some pretty good breath support to go like that for and entire 3 minutes even with breaks--let ALONE enunciation...

lol honestly, i've said it before, i'll say it again, all this is words on a screen to me, i don't really give what you think

fact remains uganja IS a rapper and agrees, me and death row both live rap and know it.....................here we have an outsider arguing it's an art

yes being able to rap so fast is an art, being able to rap and sound good at the same time is a much better art, i'll consider bizzy, krayzie and twista the fastest rappers in the world until somebody comes along and makes it internationally that states otherwise

those records and facts you post, don't mean shit

Kloaked Spirit
30th June 2006, 11:53 PM
Fastest talker cranked out 637 word per minute (average human goes about 120-180 words per minute, with auctioneers and people that rely on speed talking getting around 300,) which would be easily faster than the fastest rap. However, there's probably some really dumb qualifications for it to count as a rap which makes the "fastest rap" appear to be so much slower.

YetAnotherKitten

All I said was that I dissagree. I never asked for your confirmation. And here you say that you dont "give" but then you diminish my opinion and try to tell me that somehow its invalid simply becuase it's mine.

Fact remains that you have no clue who I am or what I do and you have no clue what I have done.

tca

no, my point was it's not that hard to rap that fast

KS affirmed the point

Uganja affirmed the point

Death Row affirmed the point

My point was clear all along, we just got sidetracked in one of well your petty squabbels

You have a difference of opinion all you want, Fact remains, im right, your wrong :)

Kloaked Spirit
1st July 2006, 12:09 AM
It is harder to actually "rap" quickly. In fact, my last post said the possible reason why rapping seems slower is due to the qualifications that they have on what is rapping. You must've misconstrued what I said. We wouldn't know how hard it is to actually achieve this award without knowing what they use to set the standard.

like i said, i like fast rappers to actually have talent, not just some talentless little fuckwit who sat at home for weeks just rappin the same thing over and over again

YetAnotherKitten
1st July 2006, 12:13 AM
Ks said that people talk faster than they rap-- saying that 623 words per minute is faster than 723 syllables in 51.27 secs althought it can be confimred considering we dont know how many syallbles those words are or how many words were in ricky's rap.

Uganja just "emphasized" your point- I won't diminish his character but we know that he is not a professional rapper. He is very good at what he does--which is computer work ;)

Death Row and You and I all have equal chance an ability to know an equal (and most likely varied) amoutn of knowledge on the subject.

The fact of wether something is "easy" or not is simply up to the person, although I would be willing to be the large population of humans can not just pick up a mic and start spittingat 300 words per minute let alone 723 syllables that most likely have rhyme and rhythm.

edit- Just becuase you don't hear of the guy doesn't mean he doesn't have talent ffs. There are tons of underground artists and some simply unheard of because they don't have the time or the money to stand out in the music business.

I agree that it is a skill that can be aquired easily give dedication, patience, and a knack for words and I don't think that all rappers should rap fast. But its not "easy" wtf.

well... we are living in an mordern and technology world.. you dont need money to get in to music business all he or she needs to do is... go to and music concert or comp and show your skills.. now days The country idol id everyone.. do your beat and there you go.. Money was the problem back in the days... these days there are not the 1st preference... if you got skills they will help you...

and y not try listenin to the song i uploaded and u will know how fast they are and im sure that you wouldnt even know what dey said about 95%... its that fast and the rap has also an rhythm

its easy to learn rap also just listen to it a lot and basically rappin is about your personal life or about someone :)

and the way they produce it comes from their talents...

Firstly I said TIME and money. Second, computers cost money-good computers cost lots of money and concerts cost money. I know lots of people who don't have computeres and have never been to a concert and I live in a small town. Hell I'd love to get some recording equipment but theres this little thing called my future and a meal.

Not only that but just becuase you have a cd or you are on the net doesn't instantly give you a record deal and it doesn't make you known worldwide. I'd be willing to bet Ricky Brown has a myspace, well nah he doesnt i just looked, but still he has a huge and expensive looking computer system (look at one of the links) and yet no one has heard of him outside of his guiness record?? Maybe he's producing...maybe he got a family--thats where time comes in.

well since this thread asks who is the FASTEST RAPPER, i'm going to side with the world guiness record book for 1, Twista had the record, which means the same guidline had to have been used with Ricky Brown to be eligible to knock him off the record. Bone Thig History Started from Early 1990's

i donno wat u r talkin about undercover shit bak in 80's m8 .... i know ma music.. enough to know wats happenin as far as i know they were not in 80's and i live on music so if i were u i would STFU

so here are sum info about dem

Formed in the early 90's, The group was originally known as "B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e" and consisted of Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone and Bizzy Bone. They recorded the album Faces Of Death under this moniker in early 1993. Soon after, Flesh-N-Bone (Layzie Bone's brother) was added to the group.

Their career took off in the mid 90's after heading to Los Angeles on a Greyhound bus in search of N.W.A member Eazy-E. They auditioned over the phone to him in hopes of securing a record deal, but Eazy-E's promise to call them back went unfulfilled. Discovering that Eazy-E was performing back in Cleveland, the group rushed back to audition in person, where they (without Flesh-N-Bone) were promptly signed to a contract with Eazy-E's Ruthless Records. Eazy-E suggested the group rename themselves "Thugs-N-Harmony", but the group wanted to keep the name "Bone", so "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony" was settled on.

This is a rather stale debate though, we're all going to stand our ground and throw childish insults back and forth

Why not let sleeping dogs lay? (is that the saying? *shrugs*)

IMO bone thugs are legendary either way since they are my favorite crew (since bands make music and rap ain't music)

Not to say they ARE the worlds fastest rappers but they are fast and great at what they do

yeah guys you should listen to axis because axis knows what he's talking about but understand that none of you could ever begin to rap about anything like what he's talking about since what he's talking about might involve the use of breathing which is something he may have forgotten to do as a child and this posting style is the result of it or maybe it's the rap because people speed rap and speed rap sounds like it has very little punctuation when in fact it really doesnt but axis wouldn't know that because axis loves the music and hates the period or comma or anything that might give the person a time to catch their breath when reading this out loud but then again no one's actually reading this because most people would've given up on trying to figure out exactly what the fuck you're saying somewhere after the 2nd or 3rd line that made up the 12th part of your run on sentence that could only be made by someone on an aol chatroom and if you could actually speed rap all of this in like 20 seconds you'd be well on your way to obtaining the speed rap title

ps i'm not rambling

wow... see, here i'll make it easier for you lazy folks. why is it that everything has to be done for you, when i'm speaking i don't pause at the end of every sentance. do you? no, so shut up actually pay attention to what you're reading, if you don't like it or get confused maybe you shouldn't be reading then. is this better? sorry, i didn't know so many people here had such a hard time reading and comprehending basic thoughts.

Really, try to read the last posts that you and I both made. Do it without actually stopping. People don't talk like that unless they're the stereotypical chatterbox that never fucking shuts up. You know the type. Everyone hates that type. Even they pause every so often.

Unless you're Kenny G, you're going to pause in between sentences. You may not realize it as it's a part of every day speaking and therefore you're used to it, but you do it. It may be a small pause, but it's there. So why should you do it here? Simply put, we don't know who you are as a person. Therefore we must go on how you present yourself here. If you're too fucking lazy to use the period, then don't expect others to expend the effort to see what valid points you may or may not have.

There are even minute pauses in speed raps. You can tell that by listening to them. So people more trained at talking fast without stopping for longer than normal periods of time do it. It's not much to expect that you're doing it yourself.

Jeez people...u guys are getting pretty passionate about your rap lol. I like it :)

Anyway axis is right...I have an underground tape somewhere around here with bizzy and krazy, from '88 I think. If I remember right, they called themselves 'ruggish thugs' and the tape wasn't very good, pretty raw.

Anyway, as far as fastest rappers, there's a local guy here in Austin I saw a few years back named Muhammed 2G. He opened for C-Note and Will Lean / Botany Boys and Smackola. He completely blew the place up, at least as fast as Twista, but a better lyricist. I have no idea what happened to him, but I'll find some of his music and post it.

Princess Superstar
Northern State
Invincible

... the few but strong. You haven't heard of these girls maybe becuase don't plan on being run by some record label. Princess Superstar has been Dj-ing and Producing her own albums for (atleast ten)years now. She had one popular song "Bad Baby Sitter", which has a video. She has worked with the likes of underground greats such as Kool Keith/Dr. Octagon/Black Elvis, MC Paul Barman, and more.. Hell you should download somethin I might even put her against Bone for worlds fastest good quality rap artist.

I googled the other two.

It's true there aren't a lot out there and I'm the last person to even call myself a rapper. Thats why my post tells Dy to stop being silly. But that doesn't mean that I'm clueless.

As far as a challenge, text is a joke. I wouldn't have even done it in the last forum unless I saw Jay do it first. But I'll make a fool of myself with you if it means getting what I want. We'll have Jay judge, and if I win then you have to stop stalking me, hater. :K1: :bye:

i googled this one.
For a decade, Hip Hop artist Eternia has been formidable presence in the Canadian and international urban music industry. This lyrical powerhouse has tightened her skills on street corners, stages, and in studio sessions across Canada, the U.S., and Australia. Meet Canada's answer to: 'Who's Got Next?' Following a slew of successful singles, videos & feature releases including “Work it Out”, “Sorrow Song” (Universal/Maple), “Understand if I” (Battle Axe Records), & “Just the Way it Is” (Urbnet), and the Australian national chart-topper “Movin’” (Warner), Eternia proudly introduces to the world her most personal offering yet, the highly anticipated full-length album, It’s Called Life. "I write life music. Sometimes I'm criticized for being too negative or too dark. I'm inspired by my family and personal relationships, and that stuff isn't always happy at times," she says. "It's amazing when you see your fans in the crowd react to lyrics, like 'That’s exactly how I was feeling!' That's why I make music, I want to affect people." Following the independent release of Eternia’s “Where I Been – The Collection”, and straight from 2 months touring with Van’s Warped Tour, and 1 month touring in Australia, Eternia provides the answer to where she’s going… It’s Called Life.

Princess Superstar I've known of for a long time. Sometimes I don't fully appreciate her lyrics (she's pretty nasty sometimes) but its part of her humor, I think. Those other girls are supposedly up-and-coming but there is of course the struggle between artistry and eye-candy. There is a debate that white males aren't meant to rap either but I suppose it depends on your belief system. I, personally, believe that just because its dominated by one group doesn't mean I can't do it just as well or at least enjoy doing it and belong to it.

If we were to say that this or that is "black music" and this or that was "white music" by who started or who made it popular then I wouldn't be able to sing jazz, RnB, rocknroll, or blues.

If we were able to leave color alone for a minute and say lets split the "manly" stuff from the "womanly" stuff-- you'd have a lot of pissed off tenors and opera singers and for that matter a lot of pissed off scary screaming women because rock is masculine and they don't belong there. No Otep, Evanessence, Kitty, janis joplin....etc..

If we were able to even look away from that, and say, "alright everyone can mix it up but once you are in your genre you just damn stay there" then we'd never progress. You'd have every thing in order, labeled, simple generic stereotypes.

Hmm.... Tungs world sounds fun I think I'll go eat my yummy cardboard now.
