we've had this section for a long time now and only 5 players have been recognized for their contributions and talent in gc. i had this conversation with jimmy james and he said they stopped doing it.

now i know lots of you agree with me when i say there are people deserving of recognition in this site. i hope this thread will bring back the recognition thread from the grave.:P

I think Buzzard deserves one. That man is a killer in 5 team with his jets. If you are brave enough to play cat and mouse with him you are going to lose most of the time.

It's kinda obvious... whenever I have played & been on your team I saw well planned attacks and very good teamwork. And out of the few times I have played & been on your team I think we've only lost once or twice.

i've thrown my 2 cents in so much on this i think the wishing well has filled :-/ oh well, and since i don't get mentioned in any games (except on occasion for my talents in the empires games) i figure if FM-solo ever becomes a competitive game i'll hold out til i'm recognized in that lol

on the bright side, 477 days and no multi/cheater accusations... how many of us can say that lol, guess i am truly unique and people must think so :D

uh huh... and tyler wrote spreadsheets that are frequently used, infidel and demoncrat also have noteworthy spreadsheets and those are just the ones i can think of offhand and all 5 mentioned have had their spreadsheets modified updated and enhanced by even more people... so just naming 2 people would be fine, except they aren't the only ones who have made spreadsheets that are used, i personally have 16 GC-based spreadsheets and i know for a fact Claur and charles didn't write more than 4 of them so it's not exactly a shallow pool of contestants for the "I R GUD @ XCELL!" award. (not knocking them, but they aren't the only ones who have thrown around useful GC spreadsheets, FM or otherwise)

Why because of NIN, buzzard, la masculine, thepleb, etok, and Jolmes in 5 teams! Rolling Squad and kid1337 in TI, Smurfette and others in CTC, Charles in express; yami, lute, ecid, icey, and others in extended. Gabby for WW2, Jolmes in N.R., and for the most human and important person on this site Jolmes for reasons that can never be explained ! The list of people who I owe thanks to is endless. Regaurdless of what pople think, I thank E A G L E for always answering every question I asked, helping me when I needed it, and being and asshole I felt I needed to beat(respectfully) in most games I played! Let me say there are many people left off buzzard, firegirl, legolas, warbasherz, icey! many deserve respect. Need help? EVERYPERSON I listed will help you just ask! I will help you! Anyone who nominated themselves is clearly greedy. Recognition is earned and it takes quite a long time to earn it. Sure everyone can say oldies like Eagle and tonglong etc etc, but you got to pick someone who really has made a difference in the game. Eagle is just a whore and I forget about tonglong... :(

Anyways I'd have to nominate Ganja. Guy took control of somethings and is doing a mighty fine job if I do say so myself. He is enjoyable to talk to, a great team leader, has a lot of skill and has proved himself in my eyes.

Only downside to type of thing is all the newer players don't know about the past. They haven't experienced it like other have. So of coarse many people are going to be looked over *cough me cough*.

If there was just some random nomination thing I'd have to say Flamingo Kid for his taking of my, and my friends, bullshit 24/7 which in turn I believe led to his retirement.
