Shout box abuse

Jacx along with several mods and admin worked very hard to build us this forum, it was finally built and going well, then some jerkoff deleted it.

Ok so last week during his workweek of 12 to 16 hours a day on the job, he still came home and spent his free time rebuilding it once again.

Then he spent his Saturday and Sunday adding new smileys for the shout box *another thing he gave us to enjoy*

So why the hell do people (not everyone but a few), have to abuse this as well???? Tonight someone posted several hundred smileys and lagged the home page so bad, Rit had to delete them so people could get into the forum. (making himself late to the airport)

How childish, and all this will result in is admin having to remove the shout box and smileys all together.

Im simply asking the ones who want to abuse it to please stop. I hate seeing John spend his time working so hard on this, for a select few to continue screwing it up for everyone else.

We had a little bit of drama in it but you know what?? We solved the drama too and now we are closer for it. Everyone can talk in the shoutbox, people that don't have msn or whatever. I think real time chat is fun for those of us who like to use it and it doesn't hurt anyone else until it gets abused.

I have been there when there was like 10 plus people on and it didn't lag the site as bad as today.

I don't know who the person was that trashed the site but i dont think it was a reg and it sucks that someone on the site can be almost as disrespectful to people who treat them as their friends.

And maybe I'm a little close to the situation and biased so to speak, but I see how jacx puts himself into this place. He works long days at work, then he comes home and I see him pour his time and dedication into making the forum better.

I watch him agonize over decisions in order to make sure everyone here has what they want and are happy campers.

Just ticks me off when I see ppl disrespect it like that :blank:

And for the record, it's only a few ppl.. so this rant doesn't even apply to 99% here :Wink:
