Possible Poker in the Forum

Thread started to branch out from the one other thread that currently has about 4 topics.

Things to consider about the poker...
First, we are sure if this can happen, so this is all theoretical, but good ideas to consider while searching for the poker application/add-on/whatever it is.

-Make it so that losing chips isn't worthless. My suggestion is to give everyone a stipend every month. Say 500 chips a month, and you can only get them once a month. Therefore, you lose your 500, you are done for the month. I think it would deter people from going all-in on their first hand of the month, therefore creating more competitive play.

-Only start with 1 or two different games. Have a forum wide vote for approx 10 days on the game of choice to play. If the interest allows, make more games, subsequently voting on the ones to play, therefore we don't have wasted space on games that only 3 people want to play.

That's all I have for now, but post your suggestions to go along with it, and what you would want to see in a Poker game. I think it'll help John find something for us too.

yes the 500 a month is a good idea as long as its vcash/ties in with the vbookie money, i dont see why us poker players should get bonuses over non poker players, and more vbookie events will give more ways to lose/increase your vcash

yeah agreed should be an across the board thing.. or maybe staff can come up with way for people to earn extra v-cash.. not sure what yet but ill think of something

We won't just be getting a poker game, but a casino. There will be other ways for people to win/lose money through-out the month. We shouldn't get any allowance, spam for cash...

i think the poker idea a great one and i would play. as for the idea of earning extra vcash that is also a good idea and i think the arcade is the place to start for this. maybe an extra 10-20 every time a person breaks a record and 50 if you break an all time record.

personally i think this would attract more to the arcade making records harder to achieve

Not a bad idea... But make it so the records stand, that way they get harder and harder to achieve. At the moment they lapse after a time - I think it's 3 months but I'm not sure.
