I can't use Zone Alarm as it messes with the ISP around here. Yes, I'm fully aware of how retarded that sounds, but unfortunately it's the truth.

I use Sygate.

plus I'm not using my computer's CPU to handle internet traffic. Although in the past I have built low end PCs to act as a firewall/proxy server. I think when I did that I used Black Ice and Sygate.

The Firewall handles the traffic from the Cable Modem using Nat Translation and port forwarding. So the PC can take anything thats handed to it witthout having to figure out if its good or bad, happy or sad..

I use Norton internet security. :S mixed feelings about it. I heard Trend Micro is real good.

You can buy the individual firewall meaning that you can run something like kaspersky's anti virus or even avg, the choice is yours, go out and do some research to get a feel for the market.

yea i know i have tried a couple in the passed ....tiny...norton....zone alarm.... there were just things with each software that i didnt like zone alarm didnt let some pictures from certian hosting sites to come up...and stuff like that....and the price was good on all the software i get ;) digital information is the best.... its everywhere for free
