can be a mixture of different things

can help with recruiting or doing player lists

is very helpful when you are running 2 cartels and you need to jump back and forth from cartels or need info from the others...
but since your new here's a warning never cab any1 you do not trust!

a cabinet member can do as much or as little for a cartel as they choose or is required of them. Some cabinet members do nothing, whilst some might be on there to fix the cartel logo, the players list (although not sure if you do that in v2??), cabinet members can move players (well kick people out and change password so that a particular player can move in). Usually a cabinet member is a trusted friend to the cartel founder - many cartels run perfectly fine with just one cabinet member (the founder). Cabinet members are often responsible for playing someones tokens if they cant get to a computer during the month and can be responsible for spending people up at the end of the round or putting together a merge of two cartels (for example) if they are given the login info of the other people in the cartel.
Cabinet members can post strategies/events in the cartel news and ought to be able to help anyone in the cartel that needs help. In gunning cartels the ability to post the players with the Most Money, Most junkies etc in the cartel news helps the other players for targets later in the round and as one person cant be online all the time i would say gunning cartels often have more cabinet members than worth cartels and in worth cartels posting the most guns holders to keep track of them is a good thing to do.... what else, well i suppose a good cabinet member might know the other cartels in the room, know who to speak to about mergers, truces etc etc

some cabbies take an active role in making sure the cartel discussion is active to try and ensure everyone has fun in the cartel...... hmmmmmmm guess thats about it
