First of all, I know it's denial for most Americans since they like bragging how they were the reason Germany was stopped. Reality is, while the rest of the World was fighting Germany for YEARS, the US was sleeping. Germany was already surmounting huge losses and on the decline because Hitler was a terrible strategist by dividing it's forces in too many areas to fight rather then concentrate forces in one area at a time. Reality is for anyone with true knowledge of those events it is clear that Canada was largely responsible for major German losses on quite a front. All the US did was a mop up after the fact, TRUTH.

America wasn't the sole reason WW2 was stopped, but they damn sure gave the Allies a shot in the arm and helped. Obviously we didn't end the war, else it would have stopped in '42. I'm not sure why anyone would think we are the sole reason that WW2 was ended. Now WW1 and Shermans, that's a different story, but WW2 from any standpoint was a joint effort.
