So the premis is this, this guy is driving his car above the speed limit, hits and kills a boy on his bike...and then chooses to sue the family of the boy for the damage to the car!!

Complete bullshit, he should be entitled to recovery because of the boys reckless negligence in riding his bicycle in front of a car. Regardless though, wtf is up with the parents and a local prosecutor exploring criminal charges as retaliation for him bringing a suit. That's a reprehensible use of the legal system.

Are you a thirteen year old girl? No. They have what one would call emotions in them. It's pretty shitty what they did to her. Knowing full well who she was and how she could react. Being a 13 yr old girl I would be willing to bet isn't fun. Living with the pressures of middle school? Look back at what is most people's most awkward time of their life. Always trying to be "cool", not having their own identity yet, not easy. I'm not saying suicide was smart or justifiable in this situation, but what led to it was despicable. All my friends and the girls I was with at that time knew that the internet was a place to shit on people and that anything was not to be taken to heart, especially if your only contact with said person has been on the internet (as was with this case). 12-13 year olds these days is the new 16 and has been for awhile.

I was thinking the same thing, and what was his reason again? No body loved him and he has no future? Thats a 13 year old girl who must have took some very heavy abuse to put her in the state of mind to think the best option she had was to kill herself.

WOW.. This must be one of the craziest, most inhumane thing I have ever heard of. I'm amazed that adult people can sink to that level and wilfully hurt children in that manner. As if they don't have enough to deal with at that age (as hoos points out). Granted I am not apart of a group asides from my own little circle but the 4-6 good friends that I do have I get along with very well and we agree on pretty much everything. And I've never had anyone who is not my friend say some shit as if they hate my guts unless I am purposefully being hostile or vice versa. I actually am quite a likable person and people love my sarcastic humour but obviously this forum doesn't know me for that. he did win(i think). was also cleared of all charges at first. looking into it again though.



also KAF alot of 13 year olds consider suicide from abuse. i should know. i almost succeeded although i was a bit older then that. just cause you believe that people shouldnt take shit to heart dont meant that they do what you do. fuck i used to take everything to heart but i also had other problems at the time. i got through it with the help of friends and it changed me heaps. i take alot less to heart now although some shit still hurts depending on who says it.

LOL, what are you gonna do, beat them until they are not pussified? Believe it or not, parenting isn't as straight forward as you seem to think. You can't just make a kid be how you want them to be...

My folks may be Christian and raised me around a Church atmosphere but never forcefuly used faith to fear me.

The rest of my family though, my Uncle and Gradparents etc. however are agnostics and have been since I've known em. I got most of my reasoning and thinking for myself thoughts/skills from them. My parents aren't to happy about that but they realize I heard both sides of the issue and then choose and that does not bother them. That however has absolutely no relation to words and the feelings they can induce to certain weak minded individuals though.
