i work at an adult novelty store at night 22 to 25 hours a week..
yesterday my check was short 8 hours.
i called today to see what was up ,my manager said the GM said because i failed to sign in for my shift he dicided not to pay me cause no one can prove i worked that day...

3 people work at the store. there are only 2 shifts per day. so that would have ment the store would have been closed durrin my shift and i would have been fired... or the morning lady needs to complain for not getting paid 14 hours that day...
i also have to fax a sales paper for all my sales that shift signed and dated to the GM office before i leave for the night. close out the store and set the alarm. all on camera.
even so my other hours that i did sign in for are short and hour and some change.:glare:

i have copies of the paper work and making a hard copy from the cameras for that date when i get there tonight.

is what hes doing to me agents the law?
im waiting to hear back from dept of labor wage dept.:glare: :glare:

can you hook me up with some free movies? and can we go in the back and try out a few things?

they have to pay you for time worked, tell him you went to the dept of labor and talked to a lawyer also in case he tries to fire you.. he can not fire you by law as a response to you trying to get paid... the only thing he legally could have done is write you up or give you warning for not following company procedure in clocking in or out

If this manager of yours follow normal logic I would think that seeing your proofs for the sales you have done on that shift should be plenty to know that you were working that day. I'm sure he can't legally decide to not pay you, if he can I'm gonna be very surprised. But he might just be doing this to "shake you" into doing the clocking in thing properly, just to make a point?

Btw, now tht I know what kind of job (and customers) you have, I'm no longer confused over why you own a gun! :hehe:

The guy in his own twisted way is toying with you to see what you say or do.
He knows it would be very easy for you to show proof you were there.

Either that or he really is a complete tool and needs to be taught a lesson in street deals mentality....

If you violated company policy, he could be justified. You'll just need to wait and see what the labour board says/does.

An tung, you can get fired for any reason, companies don't need a reason.
