Theres a report from when it happened, it was probably pretty big news........... in 1985, considering 56 people were confirmed dead

56 people :|

On the video it looks like everyone managed to escape. That's so sad.

I remember that... :(

Not funny, Tung, not funny at all.

56 people :|

On the video it looks like everyone managed to escape. That's so sad.

The people at the front all escaped the people at the back had to exit through a narrow corridor, and that's where the fatalities occured. They died of smoke inhalation.

yes it was a big thing squidly, i dont remember it at the time (being only 5) but they commemorate the event and i think im right in saying that lessons were actually learnt from the disaster and it changed the way football stadia were built - it took heysel and hillsborough (to name but another two) for further improvements to be made.

Hindsight is the most precious commodity........

I thought it was amazing how quickly it burned. I'm sure the video makes it seem a little faster, or did it really only take about 5 min?

EDIT- I guess it was that quick. Here's video with a time stamp...
