please people stay on topic, as this is probely stupid coming from me, but would it be possible to set up something, that locked the room on the sign up page, once someone from the same IP or Computer has signed up into that room, this would stop multis and would save time on the scans, what do people think ?

cushion, you are able to sign up normal then using a search engine or sumthing make a new account which will have a different proxi//isp... so wudnt realli stop it! wud stop dumb noobs doing it but the cleverer dopewars users wud be able to still do it...

Sounds good in theory, but about as effective as putting a coffee maker in the middle of the desert...any numbnuts can get past that easily.

Technally if 2 people from the same household are playing dopewars according to the rules they can't play in the same room, so that's not supposed to be happening anyways. They will already be considered multi's

wouldn't that also prohibit cartel leaders froms singing up their friends that couldn't make it to the reset? people that technically aren't multis?

If there is a solution it's not going to stop everyone, that would take a recode from the ground up. The only way I can see this working at all is to make everyone go through an admin. even an automated version but again any fool can figure that out too. I've noticed a trend in using different languages and possibly if you could make a program we had to download and this program watched actions and such from the user account level of the computer ensuring only one person per user account was in the same room. I agree even two people on the same computer should play in different rooms. Alternatively you could ALL download the standard dopewars application game available on the web. Play as long as you want and if you want the community then play by the rules.
here's the clincher. BANS if there are clear penalties for misuse then loosers who need to cheat will pay dearly. We don't need cheaters here!! Of course there has to be some solution just that we are not all coming from a single idea and exploring all the possibilities that takes serious collaboration with schematic sketches...
keep thinkin' peeps
