Acoustics are fun to play....they're lighter, usually cheaper, and dont require an amp to sound good...

ok, yes i realize this is a ukulele, but does anyone know any songs in this style...like "rock instrumentals" or whatever? Just a song that sounds good, thats not classical, that i dont have to sing too...cause i cant sing lol

NIICccceeee!!! there are lots of instrumentals out there..just search the web for them.. but be careful--sometimes they are wrong!! or at least in the wrong key lol...

I have the tab for Blackbird its pretty cool but it doesn't have the melody line like that link does... good luck..!!

wow nice to see so many musicians! i play mainly bass but i have all the equipment for a whole band! so therefore i do play a little guitar so i guess i count lol have you seen any sites for bass tabs? and btw i use my fingers mainly and on occasion i use a pick just depends on what kind of sound i am looking for. i mainly play rock and roll and mainly my own stuff i can read tab but most all the tab i runn across is just for guitar so most is played by ear
i got some shitty recordings of my band if anyone wants to hear just send me a pm and i will send the song to you

If you want instrumental songs, here http://metaltabs.com/band/330/ (http://metaltabs.com/band/330/) is a link to a band ulver and their tabs, the album called 'Kveldssanger' has a lot of instrumental songs played with two guitars. (Very nice acoustic songs and not so hard to play some of them)
I've also been to classtab.org, but most of those songs are out of my league for now:P (I have only played a year, so I'm not very good)
For basstabs, try http://www.bassmasta.net (http://www.bassmasta.net/)

i prefer accoustic to play and ive played about 6 and a half years now.

a guy called John Butler from The John Butler Trio sometimes uses a lapsteel guitar that he can make all kinds of different music with... he runs a few affects through it but damn u should check him out.

Yeah I know, it's fun to see when the practicing pays off! Babysteps, but still, it goes forward:)
If you want to hear the songs by ulver I could upload some songs for you (perhaps you already found them yourself:P), but not until I get my connection back (in september:P). But you know, waiting for something good...
