Lampard hit a terrible penalty towards the end of the half giving the keeper an easy save.

we've deduced micheal is no target man and cant hold the front line on his own ( boy that svens a tactical genius), fucking i coulda told them that before kick off!!!

second half was better, lot more fluid - Joe Cole was once again superb, a real shining light for both chelsea & england right now

Carragher did ok in the holding role but i mean he's a defender aint he . lets look at the fact england havent got a holding midfielder right now thats either capable or in form heres a novel idea.....lets not have one and adapt our system accordingly, wot are we paying sven £4million a season for ?

Crouch took his goal well fair play(didnt think id ever say that lol) and was a handful for them coming off the bench

against an average Hungry side england looked okay is my sumerise, although it showed england can be patient and break a side down

hes still better than sol and has been on the money for a couple of months now you cant begrudge the guy of that role he has far more experience than carragher.

I disagree with the motion of taking the captaincy from beckham too. I personally have never been a massive fan but think he is a solid player game in game out, his workrate is second to none (still runs on average 8-10 miles a game) and he can provide deadly passes anywhere across the pitch.
