Enigma - May Round.

Okay since the new changes have taken place, it's going to be hard to find a room but we've decided to try out at least one round to see how it goes and if it's worth playing the new system again. However, we're going to be a little more selective in chosing our players. Only three things necessary to qualify actually - intelligence, intelligence and intelligence. Don't care how long you've played the game, don't care what scores you've had in the past, don't even care if you're an absolute ingrate, we'll take you, if you have the brains. To that effect, we'll provide you with strats and training and help you out in whatever way we can manage and try and get the best out of your game. I know a lot of our players don't use the forum, but for those who do, and for the new ones who are interested, just add your name to the list please and you'll be getting PMs from me very soon. Thanks to everyone who joined last round and well, let's see if we can have at least one round in the new system before we evaporate into nothing. cheers.

Hehe believe it or not mate, there's a whole lot of them out there and they're the ones i want on board. We've been held back in the past because some of our new comers and surprisingly even some people playing the game for a long time, have been very unintelligent in game play and/or have not followed advice from more experienced players. We have a cartel set up where everyone gives input, it's not a dictatorship. Anywho, you in mate?

Looks like someone needs a lesson in gunning! Haha. Just yanking yer chain mate, that's how I used to gun back in the day as well..it works for a while, but then you need to start selecting your targets much more carefully otherwise there's a risk that you'll end up suiciding inadvertently. But I enjoy worthing more than gunning and if you want real gunning tips talk to Tess or Davey and they'll be able to hook you up with some nice strats for that, although I could give you a basic one as well if you're looking. cheers.

The operative word being ‘some’, as I don’t do it often. But yeah I do know how to pick targets and it’s not like when I do the point & choose thing I do it ‘blindly’; they’re always of a lower worth than I am and preferably not affiliated with a cartel as one jump can potentially result in a war. I really only do the ‘point & choose’ method when there’s 10 potential targets and I can’t decide which one to jump.

Again I don’t often choose targets using this technique.

But eh I'm always open to improving so feel free to PM me, and also I don't know who Tess & Davey are but if they're reading this, you guys are also welcome to send me some info, of course it's entirely to your discretions and don’t feel obliged to.

Well good to know you're up to speed with some basic gunning techniques but choosing people lower worth than you doesn't really prove to be very profitable...here's something i accomplished in A3 this round for example -

You jump metaphysical (#25) and won $61, 75 junkies and 4 sq. ft. of labspace! In the battle you lost 16,854 guns and 29 vests, but destroyed 0 guns and 17,312 vests from your enemy.

He was about $12 mill ahead of me at the time. It's about knowing how to read the game and knowing which players are hoarding tokens and money (and hence obviously have less vests) or which players are running junkies and have much less vests than machine worthers as well. Plus if they've been softened up previously in the round by other gunners, you can pick up the pieces. That's why it's best to be in an all gunning cartel cause it's way more fun and way more beneficial than having a worth/gunning cartel set up.

And as far as "waging wars" are concerned...that's a very noobish concept. No allies, no affiliations, no mercy. Everyone's a target and when you're gunning, everyone should be fair game. Fine if you know someone personally (like Rach and TDI in A3) then no unnecessary hassles, but even then, if they get on the records, they're fair game too. Speaking of which, Rach you might want to spend some of that cash and get off MM lol.:grin: But yeah dude, just have fun with gunning, get in the groove of things and you'll be able to get a lot better at it with every round. Cheers bud.

However I think you misunderstood me as I said ‘preferably not affiliated with a cartel’, it’s a preference not a prerequisite, of course I jump people in cartels because like you said everyone’s a target but if I had to choose between two targets with similar stats, and one was in a cartel, while the other isn’t then clearly I’ll choose the one that’s not affiliated as I can avoid retaliation from other cartel members as those not associated with a cartel have no place to post a jump log and therefore I won’t make an appearance on any hit lists.

And by the way, that's one excellent jump you pulled off. It's clear why you're a veteran.
