So far in the world cup we have seen hatred, loathing, fans and players abusing each other based on where you come from and what badge you wear, mob mentality, people degrading themselves and bringing out the worst of each other by stereotyping whole nations, arrogance, pride, over inflated egos and jealousy.

All I can say is thank fuck for that.

Anyone else notice how the player Zidane headbuted didn't roll around on the floor for ages and just lied there? I doubt it was Zidane's intention to highlight this irony but Italian overacting realy winds me up. Personaly I think that they should try bringing in a new rule where any player who is down for over minute should be made to spend 5 on the sidelines. It would stop teams using feigning injuries to reorganise their defence and slow down counter-attacks.


Actually I think Italy's overacting hurt them in this game. They weren't getting any calls at all. Honestly if you watch the headbutt the guy didn't just fall over, he was knocked off the ground. Watch how is his feet go out from under him. Although I do like your idea of manditory subbing if they don't get up in a certain amount of time.

yea but thats what makes soccer fun for the players *i'm a player myself*.. if someone barely taps er ankle and your in the box just fall and see if ya get the penalty because it can really help the team.. although it sux when its used against you but when they dive against our team we all step back a couple steps to try to show the ref that nothing went on and he faked it

yea, there will always be fake penelties, did you see the pk that got zidane his goal in the final? guy wasnt even touched
