ok here is a quick way to change file types. is great when you need to upload a file to imageshack and it wont allow it (like trying to upload a zip file).

go into any folder. go to Tools > Folder Options.

Then click on the View Tab.

go down to the box Hide Extensions for known file types. Uncheck this box.

this will show the file extensions for your files in all folders.

right click on the file you want to change and change the part AFTER the .

for example.

if you want to change the following file:

shit.zip

to a image file you can change it to

shit.jpg



this should in now way harm your file. For best results do not use all the time. only use sometimes.

or you can right click the file, and just rename it the appropriate file type. such as covert a "movie.wma" to ".avi" format>right click>Rename>remove the wma with the "avi" walla lol done

iceman to do that you need to have the rest of what i said done.

what i said is pretty much the same as your. just with mine i say how to get the .wma to show up in the first place
