id like to bet none of its steriods
its quite possible that multi millionaire Sly Stallone could achieve that figure i mean what else does he have to do all day?
he hasnt been in a notable movie for a few years now
he's prolly got an army of personal trainers, dieticians and the like

he's been wanting to do this movie for over 5 years but just now got the budget he wanted because he refused to make the movie cheap. He has directed and produced alot of movies in the last 5-10 years not any hits though.

Nah, the movie surpassed my expectations by a whole lot. Way better than the last three, and requires minimal suspension of disbelief. Also a very fitting end to the Rocky saga. Sly made it in the first place because by his own admission the fifth one sucked and he wanted to say goodbye properly to all the Rocky fans.
Go and see it (Y)

it's not all that hard to really believe to be honest, the heavyweight division sucks balls right now in boxing. Holyfield is making a strong comeback at late 40's, Foreman was late 40s maybe even early 50's when he came back last time. The trainers told Rocky, the young guy is fast ur slow so you need to use power and pound him.(Y) like metal said it was worth going to watch.

sorry i just cant see how it can be any good you got a 150 year old boxer fighting some super boxer...its just way to unbeleiveable
TJ60
1st January 2007, 04:24 PM
he's not fighting a super fighter..he's fighting a guy who is considered to be a champion in a weight class with nobody in it. Thats the story of Mason Dixon he's getting no credit for his title becuase their all bums in his weight class.

i wouldnt call it unbelievable, look at the heavyweight division now...........its non exsistant unfortunately
i hear foreman is looking to fight again this year lol says it all for me

got a point but also look at it this way and imnot being too rascist foreman is black and is younger then rocky....first the movie is unbeleiveable cause its a 60 yeear old beating a 25 year old and second its a white 60 year old at that....shit the last time a white person won heavyweight title was when original rockys came out
TJ60
1st January 2007, 06:27 PM
yea but he's only 53 in the movie...still 60 year old rocky is in better shape than alot of todays heavyweights, on a side note Rocky was built around the whole take a beating and never give up theme...which is what he does in this movie. I don't want to give away the fight at the end, you would see how it's feasable.

the Klitschko brothers are both white and have recently won the world titles

Three of the current four heavyweight trinket holders are white, with one of them (Wlad Klitschko) being considered consensus #1 guy in the division (there is no linear champ still).
I am big on boxing, and even hardcore boxing fans on boxing forums recognize this movie as being very realistic. Also the milk dud who played Mason Dixon (Antonio Tarver) isn't exactly 25 himself, he's 38, and thats a pretty average age for a top heavyweight these days, they age much later than the smaller guys.
So once again I recommend anyone who is still on the fence to see it.

yes and it wasnt til Lennox Lewis retired, Vitali was better than waldmir Kilitchko. The fight Vitali had with Lewis was a good fight I ordered the PPV, Klitchko lost due to doctor stoppage from a cut on his eye. But he defended the belt maybe once and retired. His brother isn't very graceful in the ring either, stumbles around alot and if u can push him past 5 rounds his chin gets real fragile...ask Lenny Brewster:$

The real reason Lewis retired was because I met him in Miami a couple of months before his retirement announcement and told him that if he wasn't gonna retire I was gonna kick his ass next ;)
I won't argue which Klit is better, but Wlad's chin isn't fragile as casual boxing fans tend to think (did you ever see him hurt?), and his stamina certainly isn't an issue either as he has proved on numerous occasions. When Wlad gets hit flush his reaction is that of a deer in headlights of a truck, he gets scared to death and collapses mentally.
Vitali - Lewis was on regular HBO btw

well even if it's not his chin...it keeps him from being a better boxer. The Brewster fight looked like he got tired and then started getting hit and laid down.
and my bad about the lewis vs kitchko...i had paid for a few of lewis fights, in hopes of him getting beat. Tyson vs Lewis.. Grant vs. Lewis (very angry at that ppv)

gasp.. Rocky is not white, he's the Italian Stallion! And in my humble opinion looking better than ever. Along with producing films a couple of years ago he started a boxing reality show here in the states called The Contender. Some of those guys have gotten boxing contracts (and of course they are nice to look at too!)
I haven't gotten to go see the movie yet, I don't get out much, but I'll find a way to escape and see it soon.
