your sons mom is a drug addict/ she is in jail. she wants your help with money, even when there is any kind of relationship. do you help her out or just say fuck it. after all she doesnt give a shit about her own son. so what do you do??? :|:dunno:

they have the chance to buy food i.e sodas/cookies/stamps/envelopes/etc cte but they need money for it., and she is in work release and needs money for clothing etc etc. it is like you go out in the real world but have to go back to jail to sleep there/.

damn right. thats what i did. i told her to FUCK OFF. last week. i been feeling real bad about it cuz she is the mother of my son and i don't know if i did the right thing. i just dont want my son to grow up and this situation to surface and my son LOOKING at me like WTF DAD?? why did you do her like that?? know what i mean??

The problem is that she's going to be a part of your life whether you like it or not so her fucking off is probably not going to happen. Maybe it's better to help out a little but don't let her take you for a mug. Don't give her money but maybe just buy her some basics to see her reaction.

My guess is if she keeps on the path she's on, your son will grow up feeling a bit distant from her anyway. Don't worry about what may come or things beyond your control...

i see what you are saying but i rather use the money for my sons education. all her family is here and i'm prety sure they can help her out.

At some point you have to stop handing out, or it becomes apparent in her mind somebody will always be there to bail her out of trouble. Sure you feel like shit for telling her to fuck off... but if and when she has more control over her addiction and gets her life on track she will thank you for bringing her back to reality and helping to teach her to fend for herself. Even if you end up folding I wouldn't give her the cash... I'd try and set it up so you personally can buy her what she needs (if possible). My guess is she's using the food and clothes as an excuse to get money to feed her addiction... I speak from pesonal experience about that. I know I lied to some people that have played a big role in my life and meant alot to me just so I could get a fix.

When your son grows up and has a better understanding of the situation you're in, and the sacrifices you've made for him he'll more than likely thank you for not helping her so she hit rock bottom as they say and had to start all over again. Who knows what will happen for sure...

Then again, if she isn't lying at some point she'll have to learn that other people will not always help and that the world and most of society in reality aren't as nice and cuddly as they seem.
