oddthought may add extra features to the game but if they do they will release info about them. look in the appropiate sections for help. if you cant find it that way sign up and mail customer service.

The idea of having managers is a great one. It takes away the power from the money whores in the game. I have just one problem - I have been asked to be a manager by a few friends yet, when I select the option to accept in the emails I get, they tell me the app isn't recognizing my acceptance.

Has anyone else come across this situation? I'm assuming this is due to the fact this is a beta upgrade & will probably be worked out in time.

We can't buy anymore workers, more specifically, buy our favs back until we get a sufficient number of managers for each amount of workers... had I known this BEFORE instead of AFTER the fact, as they CHANGED the rules on us, I'd have done things differently... now I have to recruit a lot of managers before I can begin buying back my favs, with no way to unload some of my workers...

Yes, they can change the rules on any of these apps, but if they piss enough people off because of the changes, they lose us... we're their customers, so they need to listen to us....

Since the application sent us here for queries, I am sure that eventually we will see replies from someone who is actually working on the game. But this is a quick fix forum, so obviously something, somewhere, is not working as intended. Thus, expect some delay while they figure out how to resolve the problem(s).

But clearly they want us to express our concerns about the game here for now, and it is unfortunate that "Smash" has chosen to take such offense over people using it for precisely what it is intended. Clearly his response is irrational and has more to do with his desire to instigate flame wars than any intention to contribute meaningfully to dialog or information here.

Two things...

1. There's now a "Get Managers" button right next to the party button, top left.

2. When we try to hire new workers, or just to get someone back that was stolen, a pop-up comes up stating we need to hire managers (which is basically just a tool to get us to spam other people into installing the app as well)... each manager will allow us 25 new hires... it then shows a ratio of workers to managers.

Since you are answering me in a reasonably courteous manner, I will return the favor.

The statement from Jacx which you have repeatedly quoted indicates that myspace is having an issue: it does not indicate that we are here in error.

If anything, his comments: "welcome to those being directed here..." and "In your case I have removed the need for forum registration for this section of the forum only...." indicate that our presence here is intentional and desired, and that arrangements have been made especially to accommodate us.

The glitch he referred to is preventing us from accessing the board created under myspace, where we were supposed to be able to express these concerns. I have been on this game for a couple of weeks now, and each time I clicked the link intended to take me to their forum, it took me back to my home page on myspace. Apparently they have been unable to resolve the issues with that link: therefore, they have made some arrangement with Jacx to allow us access here for the time being, and they created a separate link to bring us here.

This section of the forum was clearly opened in response to our needs: otherwise it would not be labeled for our use. We are intended to express our concerns here so that the game managers may hear about and address them. Obviously the main body of this forum was created long before this section was opened for us, but what does that have to do with users of the Friends Factory game venting in the section specifically reserved for them to vent?

And even if your objections to our presence were well founded, your manner of expressing yourself has been anything _but_ "reasonable" or "civil." As long as our activities are confined to this portion of the forum, discussing a game you have no involvement in and no intention of joining, why do you even care?

I have been chasing down the threads here, and spotted the message to which you are referring. I agree it was poorly phrased and misinformed: the poster thought that oddthought was responsible for the content of this board, and you and I can certainly agree that in this section, they are not.

However: I first encountered posts from you in a completely different thread, in which you had become highly abusive with other posters whose only relation to the first poster was that they were redirected from the same site.

They were describing problem issues on the game in a reasonable manner, and simply asked: "when will we see a post from someone who knows what's going on?" Their first response from you was decidedly abusive and unwarranted. Naturally their reactions to you were hostile: you were taking out your anger on another poster on them.

This redirect has just happened: people aren't familiar with this forum yet, and we have a few people who haven't figured out how it fits together yet. There have been severe glitches with the FF game for a long time, and many of these people have become very frustrated not having a place to vent. It's one of the most popular games on myspace, with over 650,000 subscribers, it hasn't been working right and has not had any forum available for users either to learn more about the game or to vent. Yes, you are seeing a bad representation from some of the users here. No, that does not justify abuse and profanity directed generally towards every person who has come here from myspace.

Their forum has been unreachable for as long as I have been playing. Yes, there are a lot of frustrated users here. But they are confined here, and their complaints will be read by someone from the FF admin as soon as they have assigned them to do so. I personally have tried to answer whatever questions I could, when I saw them in threads, and will continue to do so: but questions about glitches, we will all have to wait for the FF assigned mod.

As you have already pointed out repeatedly: if the myspace users get in touch with Oddthought admin, they will not receive the kinds of assistance they need. When the FF admin person shows up and reviews these posts, hopefully they will provide helpful responses for everyone. In the meantime, why would you not simply ignore this section of the forum? You can't answer their questions: they are hollering for an FF admin, and you're taking it personally. Except for one small problem. You are expressing an incredible amount of ire towards an entire set of users, over the misunderstandings of just a few. And by so doing, you are stirring up the problems instead of resolving them. One simple post, minus the profanity and abuse, would have been helpful. Endlessly insulting posters on thread after thread and reprinting the same material a dozen times in 128 pt bold red font does not get your point across better: if anything, it makes people less likely to listen to you, even if you were proclaiming the Ultimate Truth of the Universe.
