Bush is caught saying Syria should press Hezbollah to "stop doing this sh--" CNN's Ed Henry reports (July 17)
I couldn't find a written report, but basically they are talking about inernational affairs. You can go to www.cnn.com (http://www.cnn.com) and find three different videos on it. I'd watch "bush expletives" its the longest one.
What do you think about the Presidenst extreme lack of manners??
Personally I'm not the best with manners but I think the President oughta hold a higher standard!!! Especially in a foreign country at a formal dinner!!

I'm more concerned that he never seems to be able to remember peoples names...
A while ago he was asked if he could name the leader of Pakistan he said "Yes, yes I can. It's.... (long pause) ... General" OK, so Pervez Musharraf is a General but it's not a great thing to say...
Then this time... "I felt like telling Kofi to get on the phone and tell Bashad to make something happen." He meant Bashir Assad...
I wonder if he's in the early stages of Alzheimers?

maybe he just sucks as a person and shouldn't be president?

That's for the electorate of the USA to decide, not me. I'm sure he's a nice guy once you get to know him, but I don't think he's a very good world leader.

Bush isn't the "statesman" that someone like Clinton was... but it was very refreshing to see the human side of him. Haven't seen it since he was bumbling on the stage against Al Gore.

I think the FCC bill he just signed should be put into effect here and fine him the $325,000.... but then again i guess that would be incurred by cnn for showing it... unless it was live :-"

They were broadcasting on an open Mic.... everyone could hear what they were saying! It's not like anyone was eaves dropping.
I dont care he used the word shit at all. I do think it gave a real insight as to the relationship of Bush and Blair... Bush is heard saying... 'Yo Blair' - LMAO!
We then hear them talking avout sweaters! - LMAO again!
We then hear Blair trying to advise Bush on what to say, because he's too dumb to think for himself!
Not this this is the exact convo but political analysts have looked at this and are reporting:....We hear Bush saying he will only do something if it succeeds and he gets the credit. Whilst Tony Blair isnt interested in who gets the credit, only ending the violence. This latest blunder only heightens my belief that Bush is an ass.
Full transcript of convo:
What follows is the full transcript of the conversation between Tony Blair and President Bush recorded at the G8 Summit in St Petersburg:
Bush: Yo Blair. How are you doing?
Blair: I'm just...
Bush: You're leaving?
Blair: No, no, no not yet. On this trade thingy... [inaudible]
Bush: Yeah I told that to the man
Blair: Are you planning to say that here or not?
Bush: If you want me to
Blair: Well, it's just that if the discussion arises...
Bush: I just want some movement.
Blair: Yeah
Bush: Yesterday we didn't see much movement
Blair: No, no, it may be that it's not, it maybe that it's impossible
Bush: I am prepared to say it
Blair: But it's just I think what we need to be an opposition...
Bush: Who is introducing the trade?
Blair: Angela [Merkel, the German Chancellor]
Bush: Tell her to call 'em
Blair: Yes
Bush: Tell her to put him on them on the spot. Thanks for the sweater it's awfully thoughtful of you
Blair: It's a pleasure
Bush: I know you picked it out yourself
Blair: Oh, absolutely, in fact [inaudible]
Bush: What about Kofi [inaudible] his attitude to ceasefire and everything else ... happens
Blair: Yeah, no I think the [inaudible] is really difficult. We can't stop this unless you get this international business
agreed.
Bush: Yeah
Blair: I don't know what you guys have talked about but as I say I am perfectly happy to try and see what the lie of the land is but you need that done quickly because otherwise it will spiral...
Bush: I think Condi is going to go pretty soon
Blair: But that's, that's, that's all that matters. But if you, you see it will take some time to get that together
Bush: Yeah, yeah
Blair: But at least it gives people...
Bush: It's a process, I agree. I told her your offer to...
Blair: Well...it's only if I mean... you know. If she's got a..., or if she needs the ground prepared as it were... Because
obviously if she goes out, she's got to succeed, if it were, whereas I can go out and just talk
Bush: You see, the ... thing is what they need to do is to get Syria, to get Hizbollah to stop doing this s**t and it's over
Blair: [inaudible]
Bush: [inaudible]
Blair: Syria
Bush: Why?
Blair: Because I think this is all part of the same thing
Bush: Yeah.
Blair: What does he think? He thinks if Lebanon turns out fine, if we get a solution in Israel and Palestine, Iraq goes in
the right way...
Bush: Yeah, yeah, he is sweet
Blair: He is honey. And that's what the whole thing is about. It's the same with Iraq
Bush: I felt like telling Kofi to call, to get on the phone to Assad [Syrian President Bashir Assad] and make something happen
Blair: Yeah
Bush: [inaudible]
Blair: [inaudible]
Bush: We are not blaming the Lebanese government
Blair: Is this...? (at this point Blair taps the microphone in front of him and the sound is cut.)

Didn't they elect Al Gore?
Nope. The electorate votes were in favor of Bush (271 - 266.) It was the popular vote that went to Gore (by about 500,000 votes.)

See above
Not sure what you've done with the quotes there buddy... I think you were trying to ask:
When did Blair tell Bush what to say?
Blair: Are you planning to say that here or not?
Bush: If you want me to
Blair: Well, it's just that if the discussion arises...
I disagree with you. I think that Bush should know what to say to get the right reaction from the other world leaders. Not be prompted by Blair. I do not think this makes Blair look an ass. I think it makes Bush look an ass.
I think you were also trying to ask where Bush had said that he wouldnt do anything if it didnt guarantee success?
This wasnt specificaly said, but, as I stated in my previous post (if you'd read it all you'd have seen it!)... political analysts have studied the convo and thats what they came up with
From my previous post:
Not this this is the exact convo but political analysts have looked at this and are reporting:....We hear Bush saying he will only do something if it succeeds and he gets the credit. Whilst Tony Blair isnt interested in who gets the credit, only ending the violence. This latest blunder only heightens my belief that Bush is an ass.
I'll say again, I dont think the funny part of all this is that he said shit. Like TCA said they are only normal human guys at the end of the day. The good thing about all of this is the insight into how things are discussed behind the scenes, I think it's a really interesting insight.

He does know what to say. Do you even know what Blair wants him to say? How do you get that Bush is aking Blair what to say? He's not. Blair asked if Bush was going to mention something, bush said if you want me to. From that I get that Blair wants Bush to say something for him.
Exactly... Blair wants Bush to say something... he's not telepathic, he therefore has to 'tell Bush what to say'
Dont get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend Tony Blair here. As far as I'm concerned he's an ass too. Just not quite (no where near infact!) as bad as Bush.
Keep in mind, I'm actually discussing what I've heard on CNN, FOX & Sky news where this transcript has been analysed to death by political experts. I'm not looking at it myself and coming up with all this shit.

yea It really just confirms the fact htat he's a big dope with and angry fist. You can't say it?? I WILL!!! Certainly does say something about Blair not being able to stand up for his own issues though.
edit--Also--Blair doesn't tell Bush what to say he asks him to say something that they apparently both believe needs to be said but that Blair can't say himself.
We didn't hear the entire convo--infact half of blairs words are inaudible. So its pretty hard to efficiently "analyze" what is going on with full accuracy.. But Bush LOOKS like an idiot I know that much... And that dissapoints me as an American.

I agree. The thing is there can be no disputing that America is the superpower here. Blair doesnt hold as much weight as Bush in the international community because the UK is not the superpower that the US is, that would be the only reason for Bush to say it and not Blair.
However dont you think that if it needed to be said Bush should have said it.. instead of asking Blair if he wants him to say it?
I dunno... I think we've done this one to death!!

Most UK papers agreed that Blair had fared the worse over the microphone mishap. The remarks provided a unique insight into the relationship between the two men, said The Independent.
It had "done little to rebuff suspicions that the prime minister is something of a Washington poodle" said the Opposition Conservative-supporting Daily Mail.
