My ignorant friends managed to get Antivirus XP 2008 and a host of other crap on their pc. I think I got all of it, let me know if you see anything else that will cause problems. There is 2 Malwarebytes logs because the full scan wasn't working so good at first, so I did a quick scan, got rid of 99%, then did a full rescan.
Thanks

I've encountered another problem. I installed SP3, now IE7 wont execute all the way and just hangs. I see it in Task Manager, but it wont fire up, thus clicking on Windows Update will hang up too since MS is gay and you can only use IE to access their shit. Windows Update does download on its own though with auto updates.

interesting - I will discuss the IE7 problem last, but I think I know what it may be. You really shouldn't update service packs until you are sure that there is no malware but all should be fine.
Step 1
Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> uninstall:
Viewpoint Manager Service
Or any other viewpoint components
Then through my computer navigate to and delete (if there):
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
===============================
Step 2
I think we need to be a little more aggressive with the temp files on your computer - based on the infections
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a117/justinlutzfl/header_2.gifCCleaner
Download from HERE (http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloading)
Close all browsers.
Run the programme and make sure all the boxes are ticked under the Windows and Applications tabs, Also check All Advanced tabs(except for the Old prefetch Data option, this should be unticked)
Click the run cleaner button. You may have to do it more than once
===============================
Step 3
Fix with hijackthis
(These are optional - just wanted to point them out)
O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe
O9 - Extra button: Bodog Poker - {F47C1DB5-ED21-4dc1-853E-D1495792D4C5} - C:\Program Files\Bodog Poker\BPGame.exe
O9 - Extra button: Poker.com - {6FDD5236-C9F0-49ef-935D-385F5E21991A} - C:\Documents and Settings\Tonys\Start Menu\Programs\Poker.com\Poker.com.lnk (HKCU)
===============================
For the IE7 problem it could be many things -
The most common will be this -
use RIES from Internet Options in Control Panel.
here is the MS article if you need a walk through
How to use Reset Internet Explorer Settings (RIES) (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737)
================================
If your IE is fixed I recommend that we run an online scan for 2nd opinion
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a117/justinlutzfl/f_Logo1m_7c1b64d.pngRun Kaspersky Online AV Scanner
In order to use it you have to use Internet Explorer.
Go to Kaspersky (http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/partner/default/kavwebscan.html) and click the Accept button at the end of the page.
Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble with the accept button of the licence, click on the Zoom tool located at the right bottom of the IE window and set the zoom to 75 %. Once the license accepted, reset to 100%.
Read the Requirements and limitations before you click Accept.
Allow the ActiveX download if necessary.
Once the database has downloaded, click Next.
Click on "My Computer"
When the scan has completed, click Save Report As...
Enter a name for the file in the Filename: text box and then click the down arrow to the right of Save as type: and select text file (*.txt)
Click Save - by default the file will be saved to your Desktop, but you can change this if you wish.
Attach the report into your next reply

I updated the service pack after I cleaned it out. He is having other problems now with Java not enabling and cant open any microsoft office documents and the flash player was fubarred. When I get back to his pc, Ill try suggested options, for the time being I just installed firefox and told him to get on internet with that. Its my old pc and I reloaded windows on it 3 years ago. I told him to buy a cheap hard drive and Ill reload a fresh os on it and he and his wife will have all their file saved on the old drive or just buy a new pc. Its an 7 year old boat anchor.

gotcha - well let me know how you make out - also with the ccleaner program you may want to clean up bad registry links using the registry section in the left panel
