Antivirus XP 2008

yes alot of you will know wtf i am on about the rest dont worry this is here if you get hit lol.

i had the shit downloaded on my pc without any input from me and so i was a bit pissed.

i was getting my background changed, the bsod and now my pc lags like a mofo. its that bad im going to have to buy a few new gerbals.

anyways while trying to google the answer for my problems i came across this.

so i tried it. and it worked straight away. now rd might have an easier solution but this worked straight away for me and im happy with it.

thought id share it so that if anyone else gets the stupid shit then the link is here for them to use :D

I just cleaned my friends pc of it yesterday using malwarebytes. That program rocks!

I got the 'spyware' version of that problem on a friends PC a few years back. I spent a good 6 hours on that machine trying to clean it out.

took me 30min to figure out that it was on there.

then another 30 to get rid of it with downloading everything and restarting and what not.

In my opinion MBAM has become the best Anti-spyware out there and it removes so much more than the average program - they came up at just the right time as well when AVG started bundling everything.

Anyways - I would still post up some logs even if your symptoms go away.

I'm always happy to look through them.

yea the free version is great - I have had it since before AVG AS quit being supported.

It found shit spybot and adaware couldnt see in scans :S
