I like just about every genre of music. not to big on Hip-Hop and Rap, but I can listen to them occasionally. I typically listen to classical, or classic rock. recently I've taken a liking in indie rock and progressive rock.

By the way, have you guys ever heard of Last.fm? it's like an internet radio, where you type in an artist you like, and it plays you music that is similiar to it. it's free, legal, and has none of that spyware shit. Check it out. (http://www.last.fm)

thanks for recommending that site its great all my fave music in 1 place im mostly into indie rock at the mo but i like some 60's 70's and 80's too with some heavy metal, pop rap etc almost everything really

I mainly listen to Rock. I am a huge fan of the punk and metal genre. I like the aggression and the energy that is put in to the songs.

I also tend to rather enjoy some singer song writers. I am a huge fan of artist like Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, & Tracy Chapman. They tend to write very mellow music but it is emotionally stirring and lyrical provocative.

Love bands that mix genres and great new ones. I am a huge fan of bands like The Dresden Dolls, Scissor Sisters, and Panic! at the Disco. Each band has a distinctive style that can not be lumped in to one genre.

hmm well i was born int he 70s and the town i lived in didnt play rap or soul music till i was about 12 and only after 10-pm on the weekends.. lol i used to lay awake to listen to it..my moms always yelled at me.:hidey: so me and my girls jamed out to 80's tunes
