Utorrent freezes my PC and shuts down... talked to utorrent coders and they have no idea whats going on...

anyone else have problems like this or have suggestions...

bitcomet works, but anything built on bittorrent platform seems to freeze everything and shut down... i also tried the new vuze, same thing and thats on java... but bitcomet works which is wierd to me... utorrent looked through my hijackthis and had me work on a few thigns in the background but nothing seemed to help...

OS - vista (not the problem had it before and worked perfect)
firewall/VS - OneCare (also had before)

utorrent updated and then stopped working... bittorrent didnt update and stopped working... is this an updated feature that did something or is it something i may have gotten rid or or hurt myself. any ideas would be great, thank you.

How about the original oldie but goodie, I've never had a problem with it.

Get BitTorrent - BitTorrent (http://www.bittorrent.com/download)

just use bitlord. it's never given me problems. utorrent started out fine but then went gay on me, vuze was a pain, bittorrent just sucked IMO, so bitlord seems to win the day in my case.
BitLord - The Ultimate Torrent Downloader (http://www.bitlord.com/download.php)

its supposed to be vista compatible even though it doesnt appear that way from the download area...

Or do what I do.. Don't upgrade U Torrent. Most bit torrent sites shy away from the newer version. I think I am still using 1.5 and it works like a champ.

Yeah Trap.. One of my sites has a link to an older version. I'll see if I can scrape it up.

nvm found it:http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=utorrent

OH and who here besides me is a TorrentLeech member? If so and your tired of those annoying ads for 'find a fuckbuddy' etc.. Let me know and I'll show you how to get rid of them. I'm all for ad support but those are really bad and I have kids around so I had to find a way to get rid of it.
