Audacity help

hey all, i just downloaded Audacity because i wont to try and do a bit of home song mixing but mainly just get songs fading in and out of each other so you dont have those few quite seconds between songs...

Can anyone give me a quick run down on it, i am playing around with it which is how i normally find things out best but it dosnt seem to wont to play back... any help would be appreciated

I don't have it but you probably need to go into the preferences and make sure that the audio output is set up correctly.

you need to select the exact second the song stops, put it on another track below it. Select fade out on song 1, fade in on song 2. i dunno i stopped using audacity awhile ago i'll load it up and correct myself when i get a chance.
