I didn't buy it but I share play time with a friends account. Other than them royaly fucking up PvE so it's super easy (which they should have no problem fixing in next major content patch) it's really nice. Great for lore junkies as well, which I kinda have grown into one over the years.
They definitely put more effort into it. Almost every aspect of it is better than Burning Crusade (other than easy mode PvE); Voice acting, quests, canon lore progression, the cut scenes, instances, graphics etc....all of it is better.

I spend too much time on the computer as it is. I am actually scared to even try it out.

mainly for the same reasons as rd.
16 hours on a pc in a day without games (other then code based) is enough i think

It is a very addictive game, popular as well. It eclipsed 12 million subscribers, that's a lot of players.

world of warcrack indeed, that shit is addicting
finally retired my hunter(that was pissing me off in pvp....ya, i'm looking at YOU resto druids) and started a DK
level 70 now..... i level so slow >< lol 0 attention span
as for the expansion itself, the new quests are great, for once i'm actually INTERESTED in the quest lines O.o usually quests are just bs excuses to go out and kill x of y, but these ones are actually really fun. 5/5 on the quests blizz
the dk class is great, loving the rune system and the starting dk quests are pimp

I don't think of what I do here at work in the same way as what I do at home.. I am on the PC pretty much 8 hours a day here, its basically what I do. But at home I use the PC more for stuff I enjoy.. That includes some coding for stuff that interests me but it also includes online gaming, although since my age demographic is a bit older I find the crowd on WoW a bit too juvenile (I get enough of wannabe punks and gangstas in OT :P). I've been playing DDO for about 2.5 years now. I'm a pretty casual gamer though so I only have about 6 characters and only one is level capped right now.

the average age in WoW is in the 30's I believe....though thats not saying much since yes there are far too many idiots in that game XD
but it has the wonderful "ignore" function, so i'm fine with it

I'm one of those juvenile players who pisses off everyone in the trade chat. I like to select a random name of some tosser that I don't care for and I'll say "so and so is quitting the game whisper him for free gold". Or I'll link an item and say the last person to link this item wins 1,000g and the chat will be spammed for a good 5 minutes. haha

your an idiot
I've been playing WOW for the last 18months or more, raided throughout all of The Burning Crusade in a guild that killed Brutallus before the nerfs hit, we took a vacation after that in preparation for this expansion, we're all 30+ and most have families so the break was appreciated. Since then we've now cleared all content currently available and i've just had myself demoted to casual in guild, as im thoroughly bored of the game. Oh well, back to reading my book :)

My buddy is in the Syndicate on WoW.. The same on that got their start in Ultima Online like a 1000 years ago..
and it looks like average WoW players are younger than 30: http://www.nickyee.com/daedalus/archives/001365.php

i posted my opinions on this game in the media thread, good game for introducing people to the genre, but withing the genre itself, people who have played such games for many years (like myself) its got a poor poor reputation, its too easy, anyways not going into, talking about it in media
