i dont know what the offer was, and how long it took him to accept it, but i think both parties are gonna benefit from it.

Tough economic times are going to hit the NHL over the next 2 years. Likely the salary cap is going to be decreased next year based on the revenues of the US market.

Sundin is 'worth it' when you compare his abilities, skills and accomplishments with those of his peers. He is a selfless player with great leadership skills. By adding him to the mix, the Canucks (as long as Luongo gets healthy) should be a true contender for the cup.
