For me Christmas is fantastic, but it just wouldn't be the same without the football fixtures over the Christmas.
Usually comprising of a game on Boxing Day (Y) a game around the 29th, a game on New Years Day (Y) and an F.A. Cup tie on the first Saturday of January (Y)
:D
This year Forest (Nottingham Forest F.C) play Donny (Doncaster Rovers) on Boxing Day which could be a guaranteed 3 points for strugglin Forest. On the 28th we travel to Norwich :). No New Years Game this year, so next we have Man City away in the F.A. Cup on the 5th :D and.... on the 10th we have Charlton away :) a ground i'v been wanting to go to for years!!
I'll be going to all those games except City away cus tickets are soo hard to come by/im fucking skint!
Sooo... what do you lot get up to over Christmas in terms of sport??? - personally i'd love to go to the Boxing Day test in Aus (Y) - what about yous?
p.s. no-yank bashing,,, feel free to talk about your exciting non-sports.

Was supposed to have a Contributory League game on Boxing Day and New Years day, but the kind folks at the Football Association have given me both dates off, so i shall be at home watching sky sports 1 drinking my way through 2 cases of Strongbow lol!

Contributory Leagues are anything from Conference North/South right down to North West County's 1st Division (Vodkat), basically semi professional football.
And I dont think Warrington Town are playing on Boxing Day....

It was piss funny seeing the balmy army in sombreros at the boxing day test because they had no England team to support this year. We here in Tasmania also get the end of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race, with the fleet leaving Sydney on boxing day and the leaders arriving Hobart 28th. The stragglers are still arriviving New Years eve.
While in Hobart, eat and drink yourself silly @ the "Taste of Tasmania", or head over to the Falls festival at Marion Bay for 3 days of top international and Australian acts.
Christmas in summer, the way it's supposed to be. ;p
