I use torrents, but I just download the individual files rather than the entire album.

Me too. You could try rapidshare or one of those sites instead though

Me as well.. unlike other types of files, music torrents are usually placed as individual MP3s inside the torrent. When Utorrent opens up, deselect all and find the songs in the torrent you want and check them. Click OK and away you go. If you are using BTJunkie like I do, make sure you choose 'search inside files' as well. You may find a larger seeded torrent with the song you want that way.

your internet service provider may have disabled Limewire from connecting to database (like mine did)

thus i use torrents for music games porn and all the other important stuff :)

Soulseek (Soulseek - Slsknet - File sharing software (http://slsknet.org)) is still the best and most extensive.

A lot of music I listen to is even hard to find offline. On soulseek, even albums that only 50 copies were ever made, you can find on there pretty easily.

Unlike Limewire it's individual-source P2P, which means it's people's own music collections - 95% of the files on the server got there from people's private collections.

Most users have at least 1000 albums. I share about 3000 albums (40 000+ songs) on there myself.

for albums i use torrents, but for single songs i just want to try out i use DVDVideoSoft.com: Download free DVD, iPod, YouTube video converter and editor software and freeware (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/) to rip the audio off of music videos :P
it's fast and easy and the new version of dvd video soft has a built in tag creator so its easy to set up with my sansa mp3 player.

I've been using an online YouTube to MP3 converter for those songs I can't find anywhere else.

I use Limewire Pro for single songs and torrents for complete albums. Limewire has a lot of viruses which is the only downfall I see with it.

U just have to add a couple of server to ur listo.

server.met - Server List for eDonkey and eMule (http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html)
(U click and It adds the server to ur software as its ongoing.)

Then u connect to a server and when u are connected,

GO TO SEARCH
SELECT GLOBAL SEARCH (SERVER)

BETTER THAN LIMEWIRE.

Sometimes, u need to reconfigure a couple of thingy in ur app.
Go to OPTION
SERVER APPLET
Remove dead server after 9 retry.
auto update server list startup *CHECK*
click on LIST (its gonna open a wordpad doc.... copy and paste this

http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz
http://peerates.net/peerates/certifiedservers.met
http://peerates.net/peerates/trueservers.met

and save it.
the other two connection thing on Update server list must be UNCHECKED.

FrostWire and Limewire are the biggest virus amusement park ever created.

I have to agree, if I were going to write a virus, I would definitely release it on Limewire. Not to mention how many idiots I have seen share their my documents folder <-easy way to lose personal identity info

its a virus orgy

tbh however, single song downloads are pretty easy to avoid viruses, as long as you aren't completely retarded.

The songs that have a bitrate listed tend to be safe, if you download a song that is not in a format such as Artist - Song title - 128, 160 etc etc it tends to be a virus you just have to play it smart on Limewire.
