Anyone have any SATA cables that I can connect my DVD-R to the power supply. Got it OEM and I don't know of anywhere near me to pick one up. Anyone want to put one in an envelope and send it to me :)

SATA cables run between the DVD/r and the mainboard :P
if your asking for what im assuming from your first post your powersupply does not have any cable ends for a SATA drive, meaning you will probably need a new Power supply, or in the very least a converter, if they even exist!

so blow $70-80.00 on a new, quality PSu rather then $4.00-6.00 for a couple of power connectors

it certainley does to me,
for a start newer power supplies are much more energy efficient, i knocked £50 every quarter off my energy bill with a power friendly PSU, the PSU i have only cost me £45
secondly i would not want to risk overloading the power supply or the sata drive as the voltages for the two connectors are different.
Thirdly i would never ever buy a computer or parts off ebay..

thanks for coming out -- refrain from giving computer advice in the future
5v is 5v is 5v
you have zero idea on how efficient his PSU is
MB manufacturers include molex to sata power plug converters -- makes sense that the user has the option of both
if there is a spare molex plug, how is that overloading the PSU?
parts & computers from eBay? sure, why not...just make sure you know what you are buying.. same as you would if you walked into a store.

Seeing as its not new enough to support a SATA drive im guessing it wont be that efficient, old PSUs are not,
as from refraining from giving more advice in the future, look around, ive given waaay more problem solving advice in this section than you can hope to,
As for the Whole power thing, your wrong,
Serial ATA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#Power_Supply) click the power supply hotlink on the right and read it,

you had no clue the connector even existed
and I'll stand by the A+ certification, and the guides of motherboard manufacturers...rather then a public website that ANYONE can post ANYTHING on -- factual or fiction

I said i dont know, and then went on to say in my next post in the thread i assumed there would be,
I like how you admit your wrong, but there we go...
quick check in my motherboard book says the same as wikipedia, converter misses the third set of pins
