If your a cabinet member in a cartel instead of opening a private message when you click on a member on the cartel member list have it open up that members status page. This way you can easily keep track of a players progress and help them easier when help is asked for, or remove them from cartel if they're not using a strategy benefiting the cartel.

I do like this idea but I can also see problems arising from it.
A few points
1) An advantage is that the cabs will be able to track the progress of players and offer help and advise if they see a player slipping, whereas
2) It could be a disadvantage for the a similar reason. Rather than offering help and advise players will be put under intense scrutiny. This sort of pressure isnt needed in a game such as this one, the fun element might not be as noticable due to the pressure from cab members.
3) Players could get booted mid round if the cab dont like their strat, this could lead to many players getting booted from cartels and this would effectivly mess with their rounds....I dont see this as being fair if some cabs go on a power trip
4) If this does go through I think it would be better allowing just 1 cab the said power (most likely the founder) and they can then allocate the said power to other cab members as they choose. Just like they can pick the cab members, they might want to place someone in a cab position but not allow them the power to see peoples homes pages in the interest of fairness.

No... bad idea :closed:
Well how about actually stating why instead of just spamming to get your post count up.
I don't mind the idea, it'll more than likely never happen but if it did, an option players could tick as well, give them a choice on if they want it seen.

I like the idea, also like the part nathan has added! Would be good to see this implemented, but will never happen!

i think it a bad idea, especially if there is no opt out. i think if you build a regular group together there is a level of trust between the players so you don't need to pry into their accounts without their permission, you can just ask them how they are getting on. I have helped train several players without having access to their accounts so its clearly unnecessary for training. If certain players are using a rogue strat it becomes apparent pretty soon anyway so again the change would bring little or no tangible benefit.

its a def no from me......dont like the idea of people prying ....everyones account is their own,and its up to them if they want a cab looking at what they are doing in their own game!!!NO...NO...NO...

You make valid points. It would be hard to tell if a cabinet member would become rogue and randomly boot players. I had thought of the founder as the one being able to use this to manage their cartel, but what of the founders that setup two or three cartels at reset until their other members are able to create accounts later? What of the cartels that boot people at the end of round in attempts to place better, is that too not fair for someones round?

I like this suggestion, it at least gives people an option to have a fair feeling about this idea.

There is always new players that don't fit into your regular group. If your a regular group that trust each other you don't have to use the feature. Rogue strategies are not that apparent in gunning cartels. Worth is always going up and down depending on finding good jump targets. This idea would be useful in this case to rid yourself of machinist that say they been worthing midway through the round and move to a worth cartel.

Here's my issue with it. If we allow this, and we allow an opt out feature, then I see little point in it to begin with. As you stated, if you're really wanting this to help out others, then they can give you their stats in a PM and you can guide them from there.
I'd see more people doing it for rogue spying/betraying than anything else. Not that I think it's really a bad thing, because drama makes the game go 'round.

I liked the idea of the opt out but I can see your point, if everyone in a round opts out whats the point of the work involved. That being said I'd have to say take it as being part of a cartel and having advantage of the benefits in being in a cartel. Helping players was an aspect of the idea though not my sole one. The main reason would be the management of ones cartel, helping new players when they ask questions in discussion was just a further use of the feature. Your correct in stating that I could have players PM their stats but I feel those can be easily edited. Which I would expect more experienced players would do if questioned on the motives of their strategy. In conclusion I didn't feel it would disadvantage or give advantage to any one particular strategy, though some may have adjustments to make to their strategy. Overall I think you would see closer competition between cartels.

I don't understand your question regarding what of the founders that set up two ro three cartels until their members join :S
No I agree, I don't, however if it's discussed between the players and agreed upon I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Like this situation in A1, what Dunder and the other cartel founders are doing is disgraceful, their members are logging on to find they are being transfered with no idea why, where etc. However the worth cartels im in discuss with the cartel members the situation and explain to them why they are transfering a player before they do so (kudos Liam)
Seriously have you ever gunned? If your worth goes up and down throughout the round you're doing it wrong. Ok at worst your worth gained varies depending on the number of jumps you are doing etc but you still should always be growing in worth. If not, you're not gunning, I don't know what you're doing but I assure you it's not gunning :P
I also liked Nates idea at first but the reason I didn't tyoe it was because I also thought about what Kloaked Spirit did. If we allow an opt out feature I guarantee most would, so what's the point in having the feature.

If the cartel founder is the only one to be able to use the feature and they set up two or three cartels at reset one or two of the cartels wouldn't be able to use the feature. I didn't explain my worth going up and down properly what I meant was its constantly gaining but its goes down in between logins sometimes because of jumps from other gunners.

I see, then refer back to my origional post where I said the Founders could then allocate which cab members had the ability to use the same feature

Bad idea, I personally would not care - However, not all players want to give up their game info just because they play for a cartel.

people send me ther status pages and post them in our cd for opinions all the time. I'm pretty sure this feature would come in handy for our group but an opt in/out feature should be included.
i am sure if i saw some of my players stats I would have migraines

It's passed on! This thread is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet it's maker! it's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! It's pushing up the daisies! my opinion is just like an asshole...everybody has one. while coming from somebody that's probably newer to the game than most that are in the forum, i'd have to say the cabbies are there not only to help the cartel, but help new players advance in the game. having this feature would simply turn your cartel into a bunch of puppets. "do this, do that"...i learned from my mistakes, and am still learning every round. that's the beauty of the game. if somebody stumbles across our crazy world and decides to stay, that's their choice, and their game should be just that...
my 2 cents...
