Ok, so my friend has been having some trouble on her computer after playing the sims 2, like once shes finished playing it, exits out, her computer will run really slowly and acting weird.

To my knowledge her computer is clean and this has only just started happening since the sims 2 have been on there. She has 8 expansion packs installed aswell though. What do the resident tech heads think it could be?

Her computer is a Toshiba laptop, processor is 2.00 GHz and she has a gig of RAM

after closing the game go to the task manager and look for any processes that could be the sims, common problem with games not closing properly!

As any sort of true response i'd give this post would no doubt result in me being re-perma, i suggest asking the same question down in AIW somewhere, or just dont reply to me.

What OS is she running?

What security programs?

I agree with what asshole said, just curious as tons of people have experienced similar problems on various forums I post at.

I have had it happen a shit load with "XP era" games on vista..

I have played alot of video games that will memory leak like a mofo and I believe the Sims was one of them. Even with my machines now if I'm playing DDO or Hello Kitty Online Adventures too long, I'll actually just reboot my machine to get back all my available memory.

I sorted it for her, was precisely what asshole said, so i just told her to make sure every sim task is dead once shes finished playing it and reboot and her computer goes back to normal.

Cheers guys.
