Referral Suggestion

Rightio, well i've been thinking bout the referral situation and i came up with a semi-plausible (i think lol) idea to maybe combat the abuse of the referral system, atleast to a degree.

Maybe when you refer 5 people, you only get the 5 million dollars (lets be honest, how much difference will it make to your final worth) and you get the extra tokens only after the people you've referred have been playing for a couple of days.

Thoughts?

the solution is if you have ever played before from a computer then you cant get any referrals.... referrals are meant for new players so just have 5 of your friends that have never played dopewars before join.... thats what it was for anyway....

I think that someone will always find a way to abuse the referrals link and I would rather it was switched off completely. I'm sorry that I don't have a super idea to make it work.

As for the free tokens - they are available to everyone and not open to abuse. No one is forcing you to claim them ;)

Anyway, it was actually you and your comments in my cartel that made me go on my mission (although most people missed it of course) of trying to get rid of the referral thing all together, so im glad you made this thread...... it does need sorting out or being removed.

Oh we listen, most are just professinal at not reading anything lol you make alot of valid points though and yes, i know my comments probably sparked the whole thing, but its no secret exactly what people do, so i decided to actually try to be proactive once and create a thread with some sort of plausible solution, cos im a lazy bastard and dont wanna have to go back to the old strat running days. :haha:

thats all good.. what aout the ones who get peeps to use the link and never even play the game.. i have een asked a few times to use a link..when im already in the room... :whistle: cant say i havent done it too... i dont use them i dont need the extra money or turns.. to me its to close to cheatin.. if they was real players then it wouldnt.. some even make their own multies to get the extras...

thanks john; i still think 6 tokens and 1.5mill gives a good boost on the first day of a round, it means you could still most probably get away with 0 lab and 0 junkies on a machine strat, still get the 48,000 coat directly on a junkie strat, still be a more powerful gunner....... but not by as much, so hopefully its abuse will be reduced
