See this needs explaining a bit....what happened was mr badboy changed his name on msn and pic i assume to look like luis, then contacted duff to get the logins.

Here is the issue, duff was a muppet for not checking the email address at the top of the page. If he had done so they would never have got the logins....saying that its something I did back in the V1 days so meh.

So it is not actually a dopewars issue here, in this case it is a player issue.

There no excuse anymore for it. Premmies are free so you can change passes, use a 12 digit alphanumeric login and pass and only hand out passes to people you trust.

If you still get your account "hacked" you really need to consider the people you give you passes to. End of story.

I say who fucking cares if the account was hacked or a pass was given to you entering another persons account for ANY reason without being allowed to is breaking the rules.
People have to be pretty low in order to enter in a account so they can better their play just shows you suck so bad you had to cheat to get it done.

it may be shitty to access other people's accounts, it might even be immoral. It probably reflects a serious character flaw but the answer is not some regulation which would have potential for abuse. Make secure accounts, give the passwords to no-one, 24 hrs before reset send the details to the cartel cabbie who is doing reset, no-one else. Do not post them on any forum or social group, make new ones for every account every round, never use the same twice. If you use a premmie make sure you alone know the password and do not allow any account to be stored in a cartel premmie or someone else's premmie. Follow this and only yourself and game admin can access your accounts, problem solved

However, this will not protect you from getting booted from a cartel you intend to cuckoo from.

If you donated the max donation one round, for example, and then logged on one day to see that someone has logged into your account and spent your tokens, jumped you, put your junkies in training....whatever....would you be happy? I very much doubt it, you'd want a refund. Now lets look at it differently. Lets say you didn't donate and the very same thing happened, does it make that much of a difference? I don't think so. The player who has had their account accessed without permission has still put alot of time and effort daily into their game just to have it spoilt by another player.

Not keeping the game fair is what would spoil the game and it seems to me that's just what Jacx is doing. I think there's double standards from some. You're happy to complain when something doesn't go your way but then when a change is made or a new rule is brought in to protect the games of all you're just as happy to bitch.

when i give my information up i dont expect it to be bandied around the forum but i take the risk and if it was i would have to bear the consequences and i would certainly learn from my mistakes.... i cant see why others havent learnt from theirs???

I know the muppets who make simple passwords deserve it to a point, but my issue is not them, its the crappy stuff that goes on like i mentioned just now in the post above. I dealt with this in an earlier post, the reset cabbies don't need your passes untill 24hrs before reset at the earliest. Also don't give passes to cabbies who you aren't very confident in. If you get screwed over even in these circumstances then it is unfortunate but you would still have to accept it as risk when you give up the pass to your account.

a cabs job is to keep that cart as tight and strong as possible at all times and if that means moving players mid game i dont see a problem with that
