A raptor is a western digital hard drive that spins at 10,000 rpm rather than the conventional 7200 rpm. It is connected using SATA rather than the IDE cables that are more common.

SATA thats a RIAD ARRAY or something right ?

Nope..its called serial ATA..Its replacing the flat IDE cables that Hard drives used to connect to because it allows faster access (150 MBps to 300MBps) than the old parallel design.

what is SLI???

kurtis469
2nd August 2006, 11:14 AM
Scalable Link Interface. This is a technology from Nvidia that allows 2 PCIE graphics cards in the same computer system to be linked, thus sharing the load of the image being created. Cards in SLI are linked via a small hardware bridge. This makes for some hugley powerful gaming systems.

Well when you say the link is broken, it is my responsibility to either

1) Fix it
2) Provide you with the search

the later being the most relevant, so if you have a problem with me trying to help, i will simply stop, at the end of the day, all this is voluntered, not paid, meaning iam donating my own time (when i could be out getting fitter) to solving your problems or answering your questions.

LOL oh sure blame being a tech mod on an expanding waistline Smokie!

I don't have any specs for it here, just thought I'd mention AMD. Really not a fan of Intel, but this comp was CHEAP, and being a starving student at the time, made the most sense!
