Well i'm back on to see what my friend "Wraith" had to say, after sticking his face into something that didn't involve him in the first place. I love a good argument. It seems as if, panicking over what to reply with, little wraith wasted his time looking back to find something i said, and yet again, sloppily took a quote without really paying attention to what it meant. The keyword in the quote is "thought." Before ever posting on this thread, i signed up on Dopewars, looked up the rules and how to play it. There is a manual that tells how to play the game, you know. So after reading it, i assumed that was it. I didn't realize there was a whole subculture that meticulously picked apart the game (like little wraith who tried to turn what i said into something that it wasn't for the sake of not looking like a retard in an argument against me, the "idiot") to the point that it is less dopewars and about selling drugs and more about junkies and guns, strategies that involve no stategy at all but to get shit loads of guns and junkies so you can improve your worth either directly through junkies or by jumping people (enlighten me if i'm wrong, i was told this by the LEGITIMATE CRIMINALZ. And a friend of mine who isn't too bright finished 30th or something overall a couple years ago without gunning or having junkies). So when i said, "I just signed up yesterday but i THOUGHT i had this shit down," it was an admittance of NOT having shit down which i never actually said that i wholeheartedly did in any thread (find one that says i did, Wraith). and yes, you can have the best strat in the world but it takes time to know when and how to adjust a strat to the particular conditions of a room. I have played on and off since spring 2005 and I still find different things I need to adapt to at times. When we got all the FB players we had to adapt. When we went from v1 to v2 we had to adapt. We values change we have to adapt. The game is a never ending work in progress and so are the strategies.

and yes, humility and playing nice with others comes in handy here. I never could learn to play nicely though. I DO try at times though :haha:

Questions were asked and ideas swopped about the game, (im gonna assume your male here) he explained how he thought the game worked and was getting some valuable advice to the contrary. All was good.

Then from out of nowhere, the guy then got attacked. He defended himself, and rightly so, but in doing so looked to anyone who came later as a n00b or troll in for a bit of drama, which caused the inevitible and everyone else to jumped in and it turned into a big argument.

As much as id like to rip the piss out of some teenager who acts like a wannabe gangster just because he/she sees the title dopewars, I dont see one of those here.

All I see is someone who'd tried to do a little research before coming to the game
(and kudos for taking the time to read before posting), had a couple of ideas and expressed them when given advice, but not in opposition, it was light hearted discussion.

The real irony is, he read our how to play guide where the concept of worthing and gunning isnt mentioned once!

As much as id like to rip the piss out of some teenager who acts like a wannabe gangster just because he/she sees the title dopewars, I dont see one of those here.

(and kudos for taking the time to read before posting), had a couple of ideas and expressed them when given advice, but not in opposition, it was light hearted discussion.

The real irony is, he read our how to play guide where the concept of worthing and gunning isnt mentioned once!

Maybe if you guys would be prepared to look back in the thread and see where it all went tits up, hopefully the resulting arguments and insults (from both sides) can be overlooked and he can get the chance to start over rather than the game loose another potential player.

I just hope its not too late and he hasnt left the game for good.

Good shit on the part of Kanders. Finally someone objectively looks at what went down before starting shit. And to reply to you Kanders, I haven't left, obviously, and i don't plan on leaving soon, so you haven't lost a potential player (2 days wraith?). I think I pretty much got the basics of the game and i'm in a good cartel and learning more about the more specific strats and ways of tweaking things so you can increase your worth, even just a little bit to get a slight edge above the competition (i'm not in any way claiming that i fully understand it in any fucking way, so don't misquote me *cough* Wraith *cough*.) And about reading a how to play guide, i did read one, i'm not sure if it was yours, Kanders, but i also got advice on worthing and gunning, junky running, yadada from a couple different people who spoke to me directly about it. So again, thanks for being objective about everything. I even admit that once the shit talking began, i didn't attempt to slow it at all, in fact, EVENTUALLY, i sort of instigated it. But as you can see, when i get a positive reply, I'm positive back, so if the rest of you want to go on being douchebags feel free, i'll probably respond in the same way i have been since the first punk talked shit.
