I'm not exactly sure why a game about building an empire of crack whores has a pet care subforum, but hey, I can tell you about what happened a couple of weeks ago without having to make constant references to my thug-life...

So I have this cat, and last month she turned one year old. A few days later, she found and ate some painkillers, and some orchids. She stopped eating after that, and started acting very subdued. Her breathing was heavy and laboured.
Took her to the vets, but her bloodwork came back normal. They figured it was a respiratory infection, and gave her some antibiotics.
The next day, after some serious gangbanging, I got back to my crib, and she was vomiting, and there was blood in her stools. She will eat just about anything that isn't electrified, so I figured she'd swallowed something that was shredding her insides.
After a shoot-out with the po-po, I took her back to the vets, and this time insisted on an x-ray. It's a good thing that I did...
The x-ray revealed that she had a hole in her diaphragm - a congenital condition not uncommon in her breed. While this isn't particularly dangerous, somehow the hole had torn, and her stomach had passed through it, and was resting on her lungs. She was only going to last a couple of days, with or without surgery, but I insisted that they operate anyway.
To ease my worry, I called a couple of my bitches, and passed the time snorting coke off their naked bodies, and having 3-ways.
Finally, I got a call from the vet. When they opened her up, it was worse than they'd previously thought. In addition to her stomach, her spleen and pancreas had also gone through the hole and were in her chest. Incredibly, halfway through the surgery, she actually started breathing on her own - long before they expected to take her off the respirator!
I won't bore you with the details of having to spoon-feed her during her convalescence, so suffice it to say, she's made a full recovery, and is back to being a full-time attention-seeking pain in the arse, and I can get back to being the badassest pimp in the hood.

tl;dr - my cat got sick, but is all better now, and I managed to make a whole post without talking gangsta!

Awwww...

Very cute.
Check to be sure you don't have any plants that are poisonous.
Whats the kitties name?

One of my cat has an affinity for paper. He destroys it, even once swatted a tissue out of my hands :haha:

The other cat chews ipod headphones. We need to now keep our ipods locked up or she will get them and chew them.

Is that a stick of dynamite behind your cat? lol You really are gangster. :haha:

My cat Samus liked to chew cords, any kind of cord. She chewed through my labtop power cord till it didn't work anymore!! I fixed it with tinfoil and ducttape lol

Wicker canes with my cat, absolutely loves them and will quite happily sit and chew the things into pieces.

my cat is hard core as he eats all the local wildlife, including wood pigeons that are about twice his weight. And the little shit brings the remains to the back door for us to look at!

My cat got operated on (she apparently drank a ton of bleach without us knowing :/) and after that she wouldn't let anyone hold her. :( Also, one vet refused to take her because she REALLY hates strangers.

My dog killed my dtr's rabbit, now my wife wants to get rid of the dog.
Can't we just put our dtr up for adoption?

we used to have a cat the same way. i remember one time she brought a rabbit home bigger than she was. she hadn't killed it yet, just broke it's back legs so she could drop it, and chase it some more. i think she liked the thrill of the hunt. i read somewhere about why they bring them to the doorsrtep as she did the same thing as your cat. it has something to do with their need to "share" with the pack, or in our case, their master. maybe next time it happens, you take the leftovers, and put them on a plate. your kitty will love you for it...:haha:

my cat loves to torment mice and rats. she will find them and catch them, not kill them just play with them. holds them down for a while then lets them go, and then re-catches them

glad your cat is ok phuq (Y)

I don't normally have orchids around the place, but the cat wasn't the only one with a birthday that week. Even though she didn't get poisoned after eating the flowers and the meds, if she hadn't eaten them, I might not have noticed that she had a serious problem until it was too late.
She does have a name, but it doesn't seem to matter to her, because she won't come to you when you call her.

When i was little one of our cats brought one of these (http://www.australianfauna.com/brownsnake.php) inside... that was when we got rid of the cat door. the cat was pissed at us for taking her catch too.

yeah screw that...my dad lived in Australia. he was stationed in Woomera over 10 years ago. he told me about the brown snakes over there. very dangerous, and agressive from what he said. your cat is lucky it's still alive.
