CANNOT WAIT.
Unfortunately tickets are as rare as a sunny day in Lancashire, but i recon you'll find me at a few 5th day of the Tests.
I was at Trent Bridge to see Shane Warne and Bret Lee cripple England, while chasing 150ish. Before Ashley :haha: Giles scored the winning runs!!! :hiya:
I think we have a chance, IF, our bowlers performan to their best. I think our batting line-up matches up to most in the world; but our performance will be determined by how well Flintoff/Harmison bowl, when or if we call upon them.
P.S. Michael Vaughan needs selecting.

England will get slaughtered for one reason. Mitchell Johnson, you poms are about to see the future(if not current) BEST all-rounder the game has ever seen.
Don't get sucked in to thinking the English team are any good cause they're beating the West Indies, Australia is a different beast.

Thanx for coming.
Broad can swing it yards.
Anderson can swing it yards, both ways.
Flintoff is by far the best in the world on his day.
Bopara has scored 3 hundreds in 4 innings.
Pietersen can take apart any attack on the planet.
Aussies have a 40 year old "spinner", an ageing captain, over-inflated egos and fuck all else.

Thanx for coming.
Broad can swing it yards. The Australians will make sure they don't have mince meat in their pockets this time
Anderson can swing it yards, both ways.See above
Flintoff is by far the best in the world on his day.Best at what? Being a halfassed bowler and short game batter?
Bopara has scored 3 hundreds in 4 innings.Against who?
Pietersen can take apart any attack on the planet.Batting average 50.51, would be one of the lowest averages if he played for Australia not to mention South Africa, you know, where he comes from lmao
Aussies have a 40 year old "spinner", an ageing captain, over-inflated egos and fuck all else.
:bye:
40 year old spinner? Funny cause Hauritz (the spinner picked, duh) is 27.
You meaning Ricky Ponting, the guy regarded as one of the best batters of all time?
As for fuck all else, hmm let's see:
Stuart Clark - Currently best bowling average in test cricket.
Mike Hussey - "Mr. Cricket" enough said.
Brett Lee - Finally healthy again and bowling as quick as ever.
Phil Hughes - Test average of 69, not to mention his average of 143 in English county cricket.....
And the big one, Mitchell Johnson, nastiest quick since Ambrose and he'd bat around 5 in any other test team in the world. Broken Gramham Smith's (SA Cap.) hand TWICE. Batsmen shit themselves when he's bowling.
Go learn a thing or two before trying to argue cricket with me junior, you clearly know very little about other teams.
Current form: Australia beat South Africa (2nd best team in the world) IN SOUTH AFRICA. England beat West Indies, one of the worst teams going around in England, hmmm.
Not to mention England have won the ashes, what, once in the last 20years LMAO.
Sir Brian
21st May 2009, 01:11 PM
Mitchell Johnson - "nastiest quick since Ambrose" :haha: :hah: Sorry, but that's funny as fuck. First off he's been around for a hiccup, second he doesn't come close to Harmison at his best, Flintoff or even fucking Bret Lee. Not to mention rag bowlers such as Malinga. Dream on convict.
Second - "Ponting, one of the best batsmen of all time". No. :bye:
Stuart Clarke - Who???
Phil Hughes - another kid.
Mike Hussey - didn't play in the last Ashes series, has never faced swing bowling of our standard.
The spinner - ok, so he isn't the 38 year old who played a few for you trogs - but again.... even the Aussies are admitting he's shite. You may aswell leave the spinner at home and drag along some mongrel fast bowler from the outback.
Your series rests on Phil Hughes, Bret Lee, Ricky Ponting - and fingers crossed on a few of these gobshite kids performing.
You were shite on the sub-continent, you played well in SA (where pitches are as hard and bouncy as your drought ridden roads back home), we'll see how you cope with the swing down at Cardiff in the first test. Untill then keep your shrimps, your barbie, your piss poor beer and your even weaker opinions to yourselves.
Ok, thank you, goodbye. :hiya:

Go learn a thing or two before trying to argue cricket with me junior, you clearly know very little about other teams.
I play cricket for the University and my home town club; try leaving your computer screen and learning the game before you start slinging statistics and the sports pages hyperbole at me.
Current form: Australia beat South Africa (2nd best team in the world) IN SOUTH AFRICA.
Your ranking relates more to the previous, old and retiring team than your current crop of players.
Sri Lanka are the best test side in the world. Fact.
England beat West Indies, one of the worst teams going around in England, hmmm.
Ok, forget our batting, because they're bowling attack is shite.
Chanderpaul, averaged 90 in test cricket last year. Sarwan averages 90 in tests this year. Chris Gayle, IPL millionaire, and one of the worlds most explosive batsmen. Lets face it, Sarwan + Chanderpaul would walk into any team in the world; and bat whatever position they wanted too. And Gayle would walk into the Aus side, no questions asked.
So in 4 innings, only one of those 3 players scored over 50 runs - once. :bye:
Not to mention England have won the ashes, what, once in the last 20years LMAO.
Times up. :bye:
You no longer have: Langer, Haden, McGrath, Warne, Gilchrist, S or M Waugh, Gillespie et al....
So that statement above,,, means ABSOLUTELY FUCK ALL.
Oh... and by the way... i thought S. Watson was gonna be the world's next "best all rounder" - never happened. Sooo.... kiddo Johnson :wtf: keep dreaming...

Id be really worried if Mitchell Johnson was the future on this showing......he does realise he's supposed to aim the cricket ball at the stumps when bowling right ?

Well... straight would be a start. But he'd need to learn to stand up when he bowls for a start.
You may aswell of kept Tait, the grenade slinger.

the england bowlers tore through australia in their first innings (i wont mention any dodgy decisions ). They batted very well to set an unreachable target for australias second innings and duly ground out the wickets they needed :jaijai:

I loved this bit:
Meanwhile all-rounder Andrew Flintoff is currently on his way to Sao Paolo after accidentally staggering onto a freighter at four o'clock this morning dressed as a Vietnamese prostitute and swigging peach schnapps and lighter fluid from a policeman's helmet with a little umbrella in it.
Tom Logan, deputy editor of Wisden, said Flintoff should now be in line for a knighthood, adding: "They've been handing them out to any fucker that can row a boat, so I don't see why Freddie shouldn't get one for staying sober enough to strap his pads on all by himself."
:haha:
