so I'm heading to the store in about 30 minutes. I'm cooking burgers for dinner, but anybody that knows me can tell you I like to cook. I was thinking I'll get a couple nice ribeyes and have the butcher grind them up for me. Next up is some blue cheese crumbles and sauteed shiitake mushrooms. Throw the three ingredients in a bowl and mix it up and make burgers. Top them with maybe a slice of avocado and a tomato.
I am however open to suggestion. Does anybody have a favorite burger they make? Share your recipes with me...

starting with the best ingredients makes a big difference. i don't mind using ground round, but the taste ya get with a better cut of meat takes it to another level...off to the store...

Dude, are you some long lost brother or some shit, fuck we think alike. I remember last week talking with you about the morels and all the other foody talk. I make something similar but instead of the blue cheese and mushrooms, I use bacon, red onion, avocado and tomato. I like the idea of studding the burger with the Blue Cheese and grinding up a ribeye (my favorite steak btw) is a fantastic idea, Id do a coarse grind on it.

where i'm from??? i'm not an Aussie, but some of my favorite people on the forum are...the vegemite is a long story. to make a long story short, i surprised an unsuspecting young lady by sending jolly ranchers to them. in return i was sent a jar of vegemite, which we can't get here in the states. i had to put it in the picture of the burger...it just fit...

You can always try a nice chicken burger.
2-5oz breasts
lightly flatten with meat tenderizer so they are evenly flat
light coat in a cajun spice or a jamacian jerk
take some pinapple juice thicken a little with a cornstarch slurry )for basting the chicken on bbq
Slice a couple of nice sized pieces of Mango
2 slices of jalephino havarti cheese
nice fresh bun
bun-first breast-cheese-mango (so it melts together and does not shoot out of burger when you bite into it )then the other breast cheese top it off with a little saute onions (you can saute your onions in a little pinapple juice makes them sooo good and better for ya than butter. bun nice cold beer and of course a after dinner mint better make it a 2 paper one :)

I like to pan fry my burgers just a bit on each side before I put them on the grill. Seals in all the juices and goodness so they explode in your mouth and dribble down your chin. :P
I'm a cajun freak so I usually throuroughly douse them with Cajun spice, and serve them with onions peppers and jalapenos sauteed with more cajun spice. And melted mozzarella cheese on top ofcourse.

Get some chipotles in adobo sauce, make a chipotle mayo and top your burger with spicy red onions and maybe some pepper jack cheese.
