so, andy murray won one of the traditional warm up tournaments today (against james blake); tommy haas won the other one beating novak djokovic. I guess this puts them in the frame for wimbledon that starts a week on monday (i have tickets for no. 1 court on the 25th - hooray!!). With Nadal potentially injured and doubts surrounding Federer.... i hate to tempt fate.....but murray is looking pretty good! I think most analysts accept his best surface is a hard court but maybe this is his year??!!

good to see hewitt back in action and playing well on clay and grass and i think he will give anyone a good game.

the women seem to be completely open at the moment, lots of youngsters ripping into the top 10 players (mostly because ivanociv and jankovic are playing rubbish) and sharapova way down the rankings because of injury - one of the seeds are going to get a very unlucky draw as i suspect the seeding committee wont be able to parachute her in to a seeded position just yet?? Venus had a bad french, hopefully its given her lots of time to prepare for grass.

Murray and williams (v) ftw, you heard it here first ;)

jen i agree Murray is playing so good just now, seen him against blake today and his tennis is gettin up there with the best, some of his shots and decision making were superb, injuries aside an all it`s hard to see past nadal for wimbledon, but as we`ve seen before couple times andy has the game to take him if he turns up,,federer does`nt really worry me to much against andy as he`s gotta little hold over roger just now,i can see this as the year andy takes his number 2 spot, lucky you having tickets, looking forward to the start,,ruff

As usual, when the hopes of a nation rests on an British player....they tend to crumble...and he's now been installed as 2nd favourite to win....

He'll be in scotland by the end of the first week...

Fed for the win, he's the man.

I also think Venus will show up strong this fortnight. I was a little surprised to see her at 3 but I think that's b/c she plays so well on grass.

Side note: Just found out that there is a guy who runs a grass court like 30 minutes from my house. That's pretty cool here in USA since they've done away with almost all of them.

fed won an epic today! roddick was awesome but ran out of steam a bit late on. with his win he bettered sampeas' slam record to be the most successful male tennis player, a deserved champion.

serena won the womens final against venus.

seems im crap at picking the champions!
